I think 18 letters is max isn't it? So they had to drop an "l" from will. Means you could never call a horse Thickshitbastardnob - that has 19 letters :(

Have a day off Barney and visit the Midlands if you think Britain is on the mend.

A multicultural calamity and nothing else.

It's easy to stroll through Westminster or some lovely little Southern Village, like a Thame (Oxfordshire), or somewhere like Princes Risborough down in Buckinghamshire.

Outside of those pockets the country is an utter state with a frigteningly rude generation coming through who expect to be kept by a state and taxpayer with not a jot of respect or class.

    Anyway, rant over.

    15:40 Ludlow - Shabak Hom

(Decent chance with good speed figures. Any softening in the going would help his cause. 9/2 generally available, with Stan James going 5/1).

    GL today everyone! <ok>

Toppy, agree with you totally. This nation isn’t now officially titled ‘Broken’ Britain for nothing. But in today’s speech Mr Cameron has given us all Hope with a capital ‘H’ as he continues rebuilding the nation following 13 years with Mr Boom and Mr Bust at the helm.

Just looking at he results from Auteuil today - the first 3 races went to trainer G Cherel and jockey Cyrille Gombeau but their dominance has been broken in the 4th by good old Tom George and Paddy Brennan with Saindor. That was a listed hurdle worth 34 grand and it was the former Ian Williams inmate's 3rd win on the bounce. Wonder if we'll see the 8YO running in blighty again any time soon?

Oddy, it was in 'The Weekender' about a month ago that Tom George (and a handful of other NH trainers such as Nick Williams) are targetting French prizes more and more becauase of the prizemoney offered. In fact I seem to recall them saying that George has some inmates that he plans to run solely in France this term because of how much more they can win across the Channel.

What about Forced Kin running at Listowel a couple of weeks ago....disgraceful name for a beast.

I see the news that Frankel beat a 100 rated horse by 20l in a gallop really got the forum bouncing....

    2.10 Ludlow: Dropzone 14/1 e.w

Looks like he has been given some proper preparation for hurdling having been off for 78 days since his last run. Always looked like he would enjoy a trip so he will get that over hurdles. Does have a really solid piece of form to his name when a 10L 3rd to Cameron Highland, and was ony 2L behind the promising SUNPASS of John Gosden. If he hurdles with any fluency I think there are definite place claims.

3.05 Navan: Regal Power 5/1- Creditable runs over 6f and I do think 5f will be the key to unlocking him today.

I'm getting a bit sick of all this Frankel "overkill" in the media. Next they'll be tweeting about how big a **** he took up on the Limekilns this morning <doh>

Great to see him back but it will be a massive ask for him to contest a Champion Hurdle you feel. Good luck to him and connections though- the more classy horses running the better <cheers>

I'll be very surprised if Haymarket doesn't get off the mark in the first at Ludlow, with Miss Conduct to chase him home

Very disappointing to see that God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot, have lost another meeting (Friday’s) due to waterlogging. That cruel mistress Mother Nature has been most unkind to them this year as that’s now 5 lost fixtures in 2012. Friday was due to be there final fixture of 2012 so no more action at God’s own racecourse, unfortunately, until Easter Saturday next year.

Not sure RV, but most of his have been needing a run and Haymarket was a decent 3rd on debut and would have come on alot. Amazing he went off odds against really, given the poor opposition.
