Over at Chantiilly I took a chance on Isle Of White. An expensive purchase sired by Siyouni I am a bit concerned that Rouget is not firing at full power but his 2YO in the opener went very close and 3/1 shots always have to have some question mark.

French 2000 Guineas winner Persian King runs later this afternoon.

12.10 Chantilly Isle Of White 3/1

Carbon copy of the first race on the card, with the Rouget runner looking like the winner and then being mowed down late.

Isle Of White is quite a small filly and I don't think I will follow her this season. She broke smartly today before being settled a bit off the pace. She looked to have come with a winning run as she forged into the lead but she was lonely in front and Rougir finished strongly to catch the Rouget filly as she faded slightly late on. Winner Rougir is by first season sire Territories, who was runner up to Gleneagles in the 2000 Guineas when trained by Andre Fabre. He was second favourite in the betting to Mehmas to be the leading first season sire this year. Territories is the sire of 112 foals of racing age and I think this might have been his first winner today. As far as I am aware Mehmas only has one winner thus far as well, so a long way to go for these young sires to prove who is the Number One Seed.

Going to take a chance on the first 6 favs at Wolves, obviously hoping my mate Ryan is on a going day.

Anyone who took the 16s about San Fabrizio last night is sick there, would have won easily and got no run, Hurricane Cloud didnt settle at all and still finished 2nd in a poor field.

Your not joking thought was waiting for him to find a gap , I am big fan of pc boudot but since racing resumed in France I have seen him have a couple of shockers

He was on one a few weeks ago and took it to the other side of the track away from the main group the horse took that long to get there and lost by a head very bizzare

TURNTABLE 4/1 Pontefract 4:50
Should have won at Brighton in September on handicap debut but didnt handle the track that well. Todays venue should be more suitable and although he has since changed yards he is still in very capable hands.

Impressive from Ebaiyra there, 33s cut to 16s for the Diane, could end up a a bit shorter than that still.
