Interesting race at Gowran Park where the 7F 2YO maiden sees Sen Ding brings the best form after an initial 6th to Beauty Inspire was followed by a 3rd to John The Baptist, where he was only a neck in arrears of the winner.
Dermot Weld's Golden Beach was third on his only start but was given quite a thumping behind Buckaroo, who just got the better of it as the first two pulled well clear. I think he needs to have improved markedly in a hurry to win this one.
The interesting ones for me are Tranquil Lady and Trevaunance.
Tranquil Lady is trained by Joseph O'Brien and is a daughter of Australia. She cost £160,000 and is a half sister to State Of Rest, who won the Grade 1 Saratoga Derby for the stable. Entered up in the Fillies Mile in October, you would assume they think something of her.
Trevaunance is in the hands of Jessica Harrington and she is by Muhaararr out of Liber Nauticus, who was fancied for the Oaks on her third srart but didn;t seem to stay in what turned out to be her final race. This filly is entered in the Debutante, Moyglare and Rockfel, so one can only assume she is regarded to a fair degree.
Sen Ding is 5/2 Fav and I think that's a shade short out of box 16. Tranquil Lady is 6/1 in a place but also has a high draw in 14, she may also be better over further.
Golden Beach looks very short to me at 3/1 and I would have him a fair bit bigger than that based on his margin of defeat last time.
I went with Trevaunance at 5/1. Drawn in stall 5, I think she might be more forward than Joseph's Australia filly and her entries in good 7F races suggest she may be more at home over today's trip. Both Harrington and O'Brien have second entries but they look second string on entries, jockeys and in the market.
