    If you want to list the music to be played, then you don't need a DJ - just take a cd player with you. <ok>

    A DJ will consider it an insult if you give him a playlist - sure, write some suggestions or favourite artists down, first dance etc, but you would basically be saying that the DJ doesn't know how to do his job.

    Unless you're doing it on the cheap and have got a mate doing it for you, the chances are that the person 'spinning the wheels of steel' will have plenty of experience in knowing what music to play to get people dancing and having a good time. <ok>

    Here are some suggestions for your cd player:

    Atmosphere - Russ Abbott
    The Birdy Song - The Tweets
    Agadoo - Black Lace
    Life is Life - Opus (La la, la la la!)
    Saturday Night - Whigfield
    Dancing Queen - ABBA
    Staying Alive - Bee Gees (slight amount of irony)
