Just thought I would share my experiences here - any other experience / advice / thoughts welcome.

For years I have been using Mozilla Firefox but in recent months it has just been getting slower and slower and slower. Flash video choppy, sites very slow to load, taking huge chunks of memory. I don't know what has happened to Firefox, but it has become unusable. I only have adblock plus and the flash player add-ons activated so I'm not convinced it is anything to do with that. Anyway, I have just downloaded and installed Chrome, everything is refreshingly quick and smooth. Let's see how long it lasts ..........................

Is that also available for Windows Shergs?

I'm not sure I have an apple computer, so don't use windows. I know you can get ITunes and other Apple products on windows, so you probably can get Safari on windows too

It's probably best to try out a few and see what runs well on your computer

I'm running like a well-oiled machine with this chrome at the moment - like a new lease of life after battling on with Firefox for ages .......

Depends on what sort of things you do with your comp.

I was always happy with Chrome until I started playing a Facebook game that uses some animation and popup windows inside windows. It started to play up with screen freezes, slow opening and at times a complete refusal to even load. I discovered that a lot of websites use Adobe Shockwave plugins, but Chrome has this built in which can cause conflicts. I then downloaded Torch, and that was no better. I also get similar problems with Corals website.

More regular sites such as eBay, amazon etc don't seem as susceptible to this.

On a sidenote - bored with retirement telly and no Sky .... I spotted Crown Green Bowls Live was due to start on ITV 4 so thought, well its sport, why not.

How disappointing then to find it being presented by the irksome Rishi Pasad <steam>

Reebs <laugh> imagine one of the Bowlers saysing to him "Listen Rishi, the grass is cut lovely today" <laugh>

I watch the Champions League Simulcast (flash) using Chrome and it worked fine.
