What on earth is your idea of style? I wouldn't be seen dead in what you wore to wall. I have a saints pin badge and that's it. I'm not paying £40 for what is essentially a piece of nylon that feels and looks horrible. That £40 is much better spent on a t-shirt or a polo.
Every one to there own but i do wear my shirt with the sash as i have only seen us lose once at sms whilst wearing it and have become a tad supersticious about it. To me a football match is an occasion and i feel the colour adds to the event i mean who can forget the sea of yellow at Cardiff which was pretty special
Never wear colours: Who wants to walk around in a cheap ill fitting polyester top with a huge corporate sponsor on the front. My lambretta is red an white if it helps.
I always wear colours to home games and usually wear them if I go to an away game. I take my 10 year old and he wears his too. Loud and proud.
choices, choices, choices. Each to their own. There was a time when I'd only ever buy my clothes from one little shop in Bournmouth or a "label". Then my values changed and my clothing changed. Now I occassionally still buy a labelled item, but usually that Anglo/Italian designer you get in Tesco ... Fred and Florence. I do sometimes sit at home and wish that I could be as wonderful and cool as you though.
I know women of my age who wear Saints tops and I admire them for it, but I'm strictly an occasional scarf sort of girl. Have invested recently in a pink Saints hat, but have had few chances to wear it with the balmy tropical weather we get down South. Each to their own.
The very lovely you know who used to wear a particular overcoat in the cold winter months which brought about our dip in form. It is on a rail in a dry cleaners somewhere as I have "accidently" lost the receipt. Saints have of course on a great run since that day. So what you wear to a match is very important as is what you don't wear.
i would rather wear a saints shirt than a Southampton polo, cant think of anything more tacky than that, i wear my scarf to games which ive had since i was 7 but thats as far as it goes for me. saw a couple people yesterday wearing tracksuit bottoms, come on
