Blimey Hornette lucky you did upfront your training plan - you should have time to recover and get a few more miles down the canal. Great idea on the Marie Curie charity point, I will wear my flower and put a few quid in the bucket - no vest for me, I don't do that kind of stuff.
Hornette, sorry you're hurt, I missed that. Good advice re sports physio. I used to go out with one in the dim and distant, and if you got hurt, their specialist knowledge was second to none. I don't know what you've done, but an example of specialist knowledge they have is the 'hot cold' treatment for ligament damage - no GP knew it, but it's excellent (it's what footballers do).
works on my back and knees SLB , W-y think I will be paying the fine as well! but it is another visual way we can show our appreciation of super dan in what could be his last appearance in a watford shirt at the Vic
w-y i know, quite relieved that i did..hoping it'll be better by next Friday, i'm scheduled for 15 miles! SLB - what's the the hot and cold treatment? i've just sprained my ankle, nothing too serious thankfully
An ice pack for a few mins and then heat applied for a few mins ,it takes out some of the tightness in muscular injuries! or something like that anyway!
i'm doing okay Leonardo... i haven't walked since my 19 miles on Friday, resting my foot so as not to make it worse, but i'm very on track, and i'm really excited now! 8 weeks to go!
Just keep it rested as much as poss for another week or 2! give it a chance to fix! This means no charging around doing your superwoman thing and doing everything!!!
Me and my son will be wearing vests. Will the club be pushing this on Saturday? Or in the Watford observer next week? Great idea by the way
Thanks for the welcome Leonardo. Just wondered, are we all putting our vests on in the ground or wearing them round town first? Not very good on vest etiquette
