Taken from the WO match report/

Iwelumo's hold-up play was good and he almost grabbed his first goal for the club when he headed wide from an angled cross by Jenkins.

Maybe that will be a strong reason for getting him in. I did see that in the two friendlies he had before joining us he scored in both. Let's hope that it is a season long streak.

I do hope she is ok too. Im sure it was just lack of signal or charge.

The new signings seemed to shine and fit in well! All is bright and yellow in the world of WFC!!!

Ha ha, I was also guilty of being distracted by the subs preparing to come on!!! LOL. I thought all of the team went to sleep and allowed Wealdstone to waltz through and score.

Mariappa was generally ok, but never spectacular.

Bloody hell folks, there I was watching the game, making notes and chatting to a very charming old man about everything incl whether Oliver Phillips started writing after "the war". I said probably the Vietnam War!!!

And you expect me to keep you updated with minute by minute tweets!!! I may be "quite good", but ........ I will make sense of my notes and feelings in a while!

thanks Dan, enjoyed that very much. Yeates had it for me..he was very good. Worked really hard, won the ball a lot and passed effectively, and got himself on the scoresheet. He's definitely one to watch.

Okay, the first thing to say is that they have the funniest announcer person! He was on top form tonight, and when the subs came on, he announced every one, and then said "i have no idea who's coming off".! Made me giggle, not for the first time!

The new boys were very impressive. Especially Yeates, did i mention that? ;).. i think CI played better when Marvin came on, it seemed he knew exactly where Marvin was and was laying the ball onto him well. He also won most of the headers (though amazingly Wealdstone are shorter than even our lot!) and was really involved. Not bad for someone who turned up today!

Agreed H, my phone was suffering too. I don't know it's alright these B's in far flung places sitting at their computers ordering regular updates between top-ups of their favourite tipple .........

My summary of the game was that it was a much more purposeful run out than against Borehamwood. B are Conference South (6th level) and W are Ryman Premier (7th level), so it could be suggested we are going backwards!!!!!

The highlight for me was the performance of Yeates, who was clearly out to impress.

Iwe was pretty good on his debut, we know all about him, but early on he was shouting and pointing a hell of a lot to indicate how he wanted the ball played. I think he provides a plan B option, and his "back to goal" play was ok, but I believe it will get better with time. Soredell is his best, most natural partner IMO. Troy Deeney did a lot of running around, but really cannot say he produced much. He kept flitting wide but to no effect.

Forsyth found his legs tonight. I was most scathing during his Borehamwood performance as I described him as statuesque, but tonight he had a couple of runs, including one 40 yarder from LB (!!!), but he didn't quite make the ball and I thought he thought he had wasted some fitness, LOL. He played wide left for most of the opening 45, but switched to LB from 46 to 65 mins.

Mirfin came on as sub after 65 for Taylor and did ok as the game wound down with W making plenty of subs too. He isn't big and he isn't strong, so anyone looking for Tiny Taylor mk2 will be disappointed.

As exclusively revealed by the "stay at home" Jon Marks, Prince Buaban stayed at home too!!!

Unlike Borehamwood, the first half was far better than the second, and look to be mainly the first team, though it was good to see SD try out Marvin with that team as well. Great to see Tiny as good as ever, but i have to say when Mirfin came on, he was just as secure at the back.

Matty was sitting in the stands with Michael Bryan btw...

Good summary Elixir...i thought Forsyth was good too, and made some very good runs...he wanted the ball a lot..

It was disappointing to see that we still have everyone up for a corner, but that might change as they settle a bit..

Another stand out performance for me was Massey...he'd been good last week, and in the short time he was on the pitch tonight, he impressed again. He's very quick and seems full of ideas.

I dont think you did too badly Elixir!! No one asked for a lot, simply what was going on because as per usual there was no coverage from WFC. I would have loved to be there, but i could not make it.

It sounds great there H. Its nice to see people having a laugh. Maybe our announcer could take a hint lol. All in all i think we should be very happy then. Lets just hope there is a little improvement from the subs, or else we risk being burnt out.

All in all, as Elixir said, a good run out, and much more impressive than a week ago...it felt far more like a 'match'...rather than a bit of a run out, like last week. There seemed to be much more structure this week, and it was mostly pleasing, though interestingly, at the end of the game, my son went to shake hands with Eustace and asked him what needed improving..and JE said 'everything'. He didn't seem to happy at all...i hope that doesn't mean he's tempted to leave! I wasn't there so couldn't tell you how he sounded btw...it might have been quite jovial..perhaps!
