About ****ing time. I never understood how SAF or Wenger could play a weaker team and be praised for resting their players for the big games and using their squads, but when McCarthy or Holloway do the same they get a fine. What, just cos it's Blackpool they don't have a squad?
We also lost to a number of other weak teams last season, **it happens. Yes it was disappointing to lose to a weak team like Lfc but not as embarrassing as losing to Northampton Town or Blackpool home and away. I do honestly think the funniest evening on the old 606 was when you played Northampton Town. Your so called "great fans" hit the Northampton board wumming about how unlucky they were to come up against a "great team". To me that was embarrassing but even more embarrassing are LFC fans who laugh at Man United for getting to yet another CL final despite winning yet another PL title along the way. LFC and their fans embarrassing other PL teams for the last 5 years.
Really funny since it was SAF that started the trend of turning out weakened teams and sticking two fingers up to the rules on fielding your clubs strongest team possible at all times in all competitions,Also it was his trend to start cheapening certain competitions in pursuit of his European holy grail.
You really are dim if you cant grasp the difference between "weakened"(deliberately playing 2nd choice players when better players are available for selection). And "weak"(not being strong enough to overcome the opposition).
The FA did Liverpool a favour by letting them into the CL. I always thought Traffords were thick..but this takes the biscuit. Liverpool were not the first that this happened to.Real Madrid...2002/2003 season.Check your facts first before posting.Liverpool were screwed by the FA.Liverpool by rights and this has now been acknowledged and the rules have been changed should have got Evertons place.Everton should have gone into the UEFA Cup.It was disgraceful that Liverpool had to enter the first qualifying round. As for Man United they got special dispensation to pull out of the FA Cup so they could get thrashed by the world class Vasco De Gama in the 1999/2000 season.Liverpool had to play in the FA Cup and go to Tokyo,and they still managed to get further than Man United in the CL and not only play in the FA Cup..but win it too.
Okay, if we're such a weak and embarrassing team then could you kindly let us know why you're on our board? It seems obvious to me that you care far too much about LFC than a healthy Man Utd fan should. Closet supporter perhaps? Also, I don't think anyone here would go to a Northampton board and say that, we're all quite respectful to other teams. So you're barking up the wrong tree there.
