The situation has descended to any excuse for anarchy-which appears to exist just below the surface-and pops up it's ugly head when an 'opportunity' arrives. It appears that this is the status quo whilst living in a democracy. For the majority of decent living people it makes you consider the merits of a dictatorship. It's a shame that people cannot appreciate freedom of speech / movement. It's also a shame that the British judicial system cannot give the police sufficient backing when they try to do their job.
I will ignore the fact that you are on my ignore list just this once because I knew you would have something to say about this. If you read previous posts you will see that I joked about the police filling water cannons with acid instead of water. The police, who are part of the justice system so how is it a flip flop on what I said about people taking the law into their own hands?

first off, i want to make it clear that i do not condone what has happened. you speak of democracy. ok, which party can people in the UK vote for that will not introduce tuition fees for students? which party can UK citizens vote for that will not allow US foreign policy to dictate UK foreign poilcy? the country/world is bust. who is responsible for this? how can those that supply gas/electricity up our bills when making obscene profits? how can the banks take tax payers money and then refuse mortgages and loans for businesses? why isnt there enough jobs for everyone, again, who is responsible?. whilst i agree that those who have caused mayhem should be brought to justice, shouldnt those responsible for the above also be brought to justice?
