Surely some players would rather not live/work in London. I know that I personally would never want to live in a city the size of London. Not everyone is a big city fan, for some players London is a negative.

Pay someone enough though and they'll go anywhere. After all look at all the people who go to Manchester. The territories where players would live/hang out massively overlap between the two cities.

All the players want is...money. End of,

All talk about location, CL, city capital , weather is all fluff. These players are willing to play in China (end of the world, language problems, culture, standard of football) for the right money!!

We just need Hendo back in the team.

"Liverpool win 61.5% of games with Jordan Henderson, only winning 33.3% when the captain isn't on the pitch."

Doesn't help that defenders can't tackle now. even going back 10 years, a 50/50 hard tackle where you won the ball was fine. Now you have to win the ball without coming with 5 yards of a CF or else it's a yellow card.

    I see four key positions we need to buy for and buy quality players;
    Left back
    Centre Back
Covering midfield (I would suggest a proper destructive DM, like Masca, with the way we play)
    Striker.

Unsurprisingly three of those would be to improve our defensive issues, there is no point in scoring 3 or 4 goals if the opposition scores 4 or 5. What happens when you meet a stubborn defensive team... you lose because they can still score against a weak defence. Think we've gone arse about tit in building our team, you supposed to have a strong base to build on before you put the top together.

Also we do need a proper prolific striker, who isn't always injured. We can have all creative players, false no.9's, ACM's or whatever, but if there is nobody to put the ball in the back of the net or to run in behind defenders then all we've got is a bunch of fancy dans to faff around with the ball outside the box.

I think Klopp could do with a bit of tough love. If the players don't do it they should be dropped. To do that, he has to have a stronger and deeper squad. When clyne's form drops, who can he use instead? When Coutinho's drop too?

He should at least have someone if not as good then who can do a reasonable job. The arguments for a stronger squad are compelling. Just why Klopp didn't recruit adequately in 3 windows is baffling.

It's still one in three so we are bound to win against either Arsenal or Burnley! <whistle>

I would expect us to best Arsenal and then lose to Burnley.

Hasn't Hendo been playing during our horrible run of form this year?

Nowadays he would be criticised for moving out of position.

I know this board is pretty infamous for its dislike of stats, but 61% to 33% is a pretty big swing on the basis of one player..

A typical captain or not, he's clearly effective and important.

hendo hasn't been brilliant but he compliments Lallana and Gini better than can and Lucas do in that position.

Still hasnt been good good enough to be a certain starter this year though. We all know midfield needs to real steal and creativity / someone that can dictate play but until summer have to make do wth what we have and team is better with him than without.

True but look at the majority of those games where our attack was on fire and teams didn't play deep.

He has still played a lot of the matches that we have lost recently which indicates he makes little difference.

I suppose we'll see this weekend against arsenal because Hendo is missing and if Wenger sets his team normally, then it plays into our hands and we should win.
