Wishful thinking by you and others wont make it happen however much you reckon your "Bluebirds" mates tell you - you are completely out of touch with the mainstrean Cardiff supporters who have taken the changes on the chin and now want to see the club progress.

I think Dai is right in much of what he says, and by the way the thread is about the rebrand, so the point about "talking football" is misplaced.
You sound like you are in denial. You need to take your hands from your ears and accept, that there is a movement of people who won't let this go, AND refuse to walk away from what we perceive to be "our's". You mention mainstream supporters taking the change on the chin. Can you be Pro Blue and be mainstream ?
Don't realy know what a mainstream supporter is. I'm a ST holder does that count/qualify?
My feelings are that I'd rather not attempt to tear our club to bits Blackburn style by protesting against our most successful period in my living memory.
I want to support the lads and give the opposition as much abuse as possible within the best possible taste. VT has made massive strides to taking this club up a level in terms of structure and finances. I'm not sure a campaign to drive him away is in our best interests right now. If he turns us into a successful PL team he may sell us to someone who could aquire instant legend status just by turning our shirts back to blue. That's the only way I see it happening in the short to medium term without plunging the club back into finacial uncertainty.

Don't want to fall out with a fellow City fan but Sparkey is fundamentally right when he says mainstream. The number of fans who remain staunch blue and don't want to accept the change is very low compared to the much greater majority who realise what was needed to take our club forward. Just look at the number of season tickets bought and the waiting list. If that many totally disagreed do you think sales would have been made in such numbers?
However, our roots remain blue and the majority remain true to that. I'm sure if VT had a change of heart and reverted to blue there would be absolute agreement all round. That is unlikely and there is no one around prepared to put in the sort of money that VT has and continues to do. From a pragmatic point therefore we have to go with VT and see the club progress.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, particularly supporters who generally have more knowledge than Dai who is simply a Swansea fan who just likes to stir things up over here. If you feel that strongly about the change, that is fine by me and most others on here, no one will criticise you for that, but by the same token you should accept that the "mainstream" - to use Sparkey's word - will go with VT assuming he makes no other major changes and carries on financially supporting the club.

My reason for questioning the mainstream tag was a little pedantic in that I struggle to label fans with anything other than the club they support.
I agree with the principle behind that posts and that the numbers/lack dissent on match day point towards the vast majority are going along with the red shirts.
Now beyond that you get back to the point of Eldons thread which is not a rebrand/club wide/what should we be doing thread.
