If Uncle Ken owns all the pie shops, pizza places, kebab joints and burger bars around Elland Road then Paynters wages go straight back to Ken every day. Cost neutral!

Maybe he's being kept as star striker as someone else is going. It's all too depressing.:steam:

We turned it down because we are not a selling club and will hold on to our top players in our push for promotion to the Premiership.

Apparently you turned it down because Brighton said they wouldn't play him against Leeds <laugh>

This proves that Grayson's poor judgement is the main factor in our transfer dealings.

Of course it's Bates' poor judgement that means we have Grayson as manager.

But what surprises me most is Gus Poyet's poor judgement.

I'm still shocked we turned this down. I bet within a year, he's surplus to requirements and we end up paying off his contract.

Well £150k is loose gambling chips to Uncle Ken in his Monaco retreat. He probably asked Larry whether he still wanted our interior designer and Larry obviously said yes, knowing that Ken wouldn't give him the money for a replacement anyway.

I think paynter is worth 1 hundred times this offer. He will set the league alight this year MARM MY WORDS - badblood, 16:06 - 1 September 2011

Stop making Billy a scapegoat, there is far more wrong just now than sharp-shooter Paynter! It is called Bates and Bates alone. If SG has any sense he`ll jump ship,he deserves better than working under MasterBates. If the fans have any sense they`ll boycot games and use the money at the pub, massage parlour and curry-house,at least they`ll enjoy being ripped off.All better than being shafted by Bates the callous ***t.
