If you remember, we ended up with 5 teams in the CL that season, as you didn't qualify, but had won the thing. The rules we've got now are a direct result of that. UEFA didn't want 5 English teams in it.....................

Ironically next season could very likely also see 5 English teams in it......

You think Jose is going to win it for united Tobes?

I wouldn't - they're just as dodgy as us.
I'm not predicting it will happen, but it wouldn't be much of a shock if it did.

Especially if they keep playing claudi 'I'm allergic to making saves' bravo in goal.

I'd take 4th now and face the play-offs. Our next two games at Brom and Palace at home are the biggest key - we need six points, and nothing less, then we can ease a little for the last four games. Third would be better, of course, and the teams around us should be taking points off each other. Fourth is within our hands now, whereas third isn't, if City win all their games. I still suspect we'll just miss out though, and ironically United will get fourth but not win the EL.

I pretty much agree.

I have a glimmer of hope that city might just **** it up but i can't shake the feeling it will be like 13/14 where in the end we are just more likely to be the ones screwing the pooch and end up 2 points behind the,

I deffo feel as though next period is crucial in making a gap or losing our lead so... well... some peopel say just win the games of course.

My view is we don't handle pressure at all so we need the gap.

I
just don't trust this team and squad to handle mundane pressure, as opposed to big games against 'big' teams. Add to that, when we lose players like Mane, Ford , Lala and even Hendo we have **** squad strength in terms of quality. Hopefully Studge can stay fit for the last six games in what appears to be his swansong, and he has priceless goals and movement in him. Hopefully. :emoticon-0106-cryin

yeah.... i've kind of seen them bottle it too much as well. Its very odd that on a given day in a league game they can turn up and play great but every final we've had or if its make or break we seem to fold.

Real Zaragoza and Real Madrid in 2000. FA telling Chelsea and Arsenal before their quarter final in '04 that if either of them won the CL and finished 5th, then 4th would make way in the Zaragoza precedent. I could go on...

It's BS

If the PL is good enough to have 4 coefficient places, plus the winner of the CL and EL then we should have 6 places

Don't like it? Tell other leagues to sort out their [HASHTAG]#bentasfuck[/HASHTAG] leagues that allow the same top clubs to take every single penny of TV money year after year

You're adding fuel to my point. As the English FA refused to go there as there'd have been hell on in the City. So UEFA were pissed off that they didn't follow the previous precedents, and the rest is history.......
