So that's what you lot at the front were doing instead of singing. <whistle>

We might have made a lot of half-chances, but hoofed it far too much to make enough clear cut ones to match Derby. I hope I'm proven wrong with your next uploads and we performed as well as the last few games and it was just that Hughes' class that undid us, but I don't seem to remember that from when I was at Pride Park (admittedly, pissed as I was). And I wouldn't class McCormack's untouched cross there as much of a scoring opportunity.

If you really think it'll work, I'll give it a go <ok>

Disagree, the best teams in the world combat the style of the opposition. They don't do it because its pointless, they do it because it gives your team an advantage to know the oppositions weaknesses. I agree with similar quality players though

I was singing on my own. Genuinely. I spent a fair amount of time singing on my own. Towards the end when they were getting a lot of goal kicks, I was doing the "you **** bastard" thing on mi todd, about 4 or 5 times, all by myself.

And the next video that's coming will show you one clear cut and one half chance that will change your mind. Then I have videos of various other times we made a way through.

We actually managed 6 shots on goal, which is quite impressive.

I agree entirely with this. While in an ideal world your team would be able to play their own game and leave it to the opposition to worry about adapting to it, that is simply not the case. Both teams set out to play their own game, and some styles will beat others, much like rock paper scissors. The best teams in the world can adapt their style to counter their opponents, which we could have done, but didn't. Tactics were our downfall.

<laugh> Fair play! Hope you didn't do the 'aaaaaarrrrghs' alone though... I always just go where the atmosphere is to be honest - don't think I've ever sat at the front for an away game if my ticket's been allocated for there... well, since Barnsley away when we got five put past us and two irritating lesbians kept shouting the most cringeworthy stuff which drove me and my mate away for the second half.

I hope so. I still think someone with a proper range of passing in midfield is needed though.

I did the arghs, very emphatically, all by myself. It's my favourite part, a great way to release aggression!

I'd be inclined to agree, although I think we'll do ok with Austin coming back and another decent forward/winger. The more I see of Norris and Tonge, the more impressed I am with their attacking ability and surprising amount of talent. Wouldn't necessarily go so far as "flair", but they're not exactly cart horses either. End of the day, the way to counter that little blonde **** in the middle was never going to be a player of equal technical ability or speed, it was always going to be someone who could turn him into a quivering mess with just a glare - Austin or Brown for example.

More to follow when I can be bothered. They are taking forever to upload as they are full HD and I'm busy with other stuff. Keep checking back or alternatively I can make a thread when they're all done.

You really think Barcelona look at the opposition and pick a team to beat who they are playing based on the oppositions strengths or do they pick their best 11 and let everyone else worry about them.

I watched the Derby clash via a stream and I thought we did well! First 30 mins or so we were completely overrun with everything channelling through the middle. Derby knocked it about well & I think that made our full backs hesitant of pushing on as they stretched us incredibly well. Salmon was always going to be a threat, I cant remember a time we have dealt with a big man well. All in all I dont think it was a bad performance. Kenny worried me with that hash of a clearance that hit a player, I thought that was going to bobble in <yikes> McCormack was inches away from that bicycle kick & we have seen him smash them in before. A lot of better teams than us will drop points at Pride Park this year I guarantee <ok> Dust yourselves off lads & go smash Ipswich. Warnock has a big decision to make about Peltier as well. I think I would give him the Ipswich game to stake a claim for his spot or bench him.

You'd imagine that while Derby will most likely languish in mid table yet again, they could have a big say in who goes up, as their home record is better than most

I would say yes, they do know better, 100% of the time how individual players can perform at a set time than "fans" who were not even at the game and make a judgement on the 5 minutes of highlights they watched on tv.

Me and Exodus were both at the Derby match. We've both attended / seen on TV enough games to know what our players are capable of and we're both well placed to point out where the manager went wrong. Unfortunately in the mind of anyone, what seems right at the time can quickly be exposed with hindsight. I do not put much weight on Warnock getting it wrong, as managers will do so from time to time. I am just frustrated that he did so at a key point when we threatened to really gain some momentum.
