He's improved season on season and I expect players to start being regular first teamers by the time they're 24, not 22 [ref. Shane Long], especially when they're 4th striker or 3rd at best. I can't see us getting anybody already delivering who'll want that position.

It's telling that NGog hasn't been shifted out immediately there was interest so Kenny seems to place some value on that potential and won't let him go just to get shot of the wage. Maybe he's seen the quality we could expect to bring in and wold rather sprinkle his own attacking magic over Big Davey for another season.

The best football Liverpool have played under Kenny was when Maxi was in the side. His link up and his ability to play in the hole make him a hard player to mark. The bonus is - he can score goals.

I'm not a huge Maxi fan. He has a couple of stellar games that wow you- but then when he's not doing that he is wastefull. It's easy to forget how dire Maxi can be when he puts in one or two amazing performances a season... thing is though- he's not reliable- you can't count on him. He also seems to be what I call a "weathervane player" (Insua is another) - when the team is controlling he is playing well. When the team is on the back-foot- he plays poorly.

N'Gog is a decent lad- will improve... he's never going to be a Torres, a Suarez, or even a Carroll- he could lead the line one day for a mid to upper mid table team.

I'd love to keep and use Aqua. I can't understand why we have such quality on the books and not use him.

I don't know that we need another attacking midfielder. We need a backup striker... IF attacking midfielder- someone who specialises on the right wing - I'd prefer a striker though.

I think Raul as backup when be great- he wouldn't be required to play every week- has great experience with winning sides. Great experience to share with our younger forwards.

Diego is going for 5 mil Euros to Athletico at the moment, if Aqua doesnt want to stay and Raul is looking to leave, that would be a steal, also would link with Lucas well, can change games on his own, eye for that creativity we need...... just saying.

Well, we've got 2 weeks left to finalise our summer signings. Let's hope it's not all over yet.

I don't think so, it seems we are going British with our CB and then the AM/3rd striker/Winger I think may be the buy that has us all wonder where that came from, where's comolli at is the question, haha.

I suspect it may well be all over now Jonesey. I'd love to be proved wrong, though!
