We have done that deal before...Buy Jenas and you get Townsend on loan...and actually it worked a bit Is the deal now buy Townsend and you get Kane on loan....could live with that actually Our forwards would be Austin, Remy, Kane and OBZ We would have a creative midfielder too By the way....I am confidently assured we have NO chance with Deeney from Watford (from a Watford fan/insider)
Austin was a slow starter last season as well, and he seemed to only score penalties and tap ins for a bit once he got going. Massive test for him, I have no idea whether he his good enough, but Isla will get crosses in which is what he needs. If we try to play through the opposition it will be hard for him.
Agree. Bruiser's goal yesterday. If Remy stays, then he's the one with finesse, Charlie as the poacher and Deeney as the bruiser, bullying his way to the goal. Works for me!
Literally in my opinion as I think his real talent is in reading the flight of a cross quicker than other players. If we put in crosses, Austin will win more than his fair share of headers.
12/08/2014 By West London Sport QPR appear to have made progress in their attempt to seal the signing of Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson. West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers were in talks to sign Sigthorsson and subsequently that they had made a £5m offer, which has since been accepted. They have so-far been unable to agree personal terms with the 24-year-old Icelander and manager Harry Redknapp admitted that the process was “dragging on a bit”. But Rangers have always been hopeful of eventually reaching an agreement and it now seems that a deal could be close. They were interested in him last season but he was reluctant to play in the Championship. Their promotion back to the top flight paved the way for a move for Sigthorsson, who has scored 24 goals in 59 league appearances for Ajax. He arrived in Holland in 2010 when he was signed by AZ Alkmaar, and he moved to Amsterdam a year later. Redknapp watched him in action in a match against Feyenoord earlier this year.
Anyone else like us to try for Hernandes, he's likely to be out of favour. I could think of worse. Maybe a call from Rio could persuade him. http://www1.skysports.com/transfer/news/21476/9407651/manchester-united-will-van-gaal-show-kagawa-and-fellaini-the-old-trafford-exit
