did i? had a full blown text conversation and phone call with my marra aswel, didnt remember any of it till i checked my phone had you been drinking?
would rather norwich were beaten today but a draw isnt a bad thing. Anyway getting back to the OP, a striker for me is not a priority, bridcutt looks a done deal at £3m, would like us to re-inforce the back
Bri, we still need width, but if we rely solely on it we become one dimensional in that we only attack down the flanks. Look at Spurs and Chelsea at the SOL recently, they carry the ball centrally then switch to width (either side) in the last third.
as you know im right on the doorstep here, i think we should be very wary of them next week ,hooper is starting now and looks v/good ,redmond is also playing well as is fer in midfield ,i keep hearing we are going to win at home against them ,they have won two away this season its going to be a tough game
used to watch town a lot in the eighties, working in felixstow at the time , brilliant team one of the best sides iv seen for a small club
the eufa cup winning side of 1981 was magnificent with sir bobby, bloody brilliant
I don't think a striker should be our priority. It is an area we could improve on, but I think we need a quality AM who will run at defences and create clear cut chances for our current strikers
That's what wing backs would bring, you've got the numbers in the middle with your cm and your inside forwards. work it up the middle with the wingbacks providing that final third width joining the attacks late. One man working each flank would never provide too much width imo, as they still have their defencive duties. Playing higher up the pitch would be essential meaning we'd need a pacy cb. Maybe Diakité would suit that role? Anyway, just for the hell of it. please log in to view this image 343 or please log in to view this image 424 Not saying it would work or those are the players we need, just a but of fun exploring possibilities. Love formation porn me
If you want a goalscorer with something to prove (and is attainable) you should go for Defoe. That said, I think creativity is your biggest issue rather than just a striker problem.
Bri, most of the top teams play the system you advocate, but I'm not sure we have the players at present to play as wingbacks
McBardo is our leading scorer and if instead of hitting the bar yesterday he had scored he would be double of any other player. Gus will play him ATM!
