No point in being defensive, we can't defend. All out attack with the crowd so up for it, we might just give them a surprise. l'd rather we lost 5-3 and scared the shyte out of them for a while than the sort of meek surrender we had under Harry and lose 2-0. Just go for it...

Well said super. Can't wait for this game, if we throw the kitchen sink at them (which I hope we will), we have a chance, if we sit back they will pick us apart, bit by bit and score a shed load. We will rise to the occasion, it is the qpr way!!!

I hope Swords doesn't see this thread, as he doesn't think it matters what formation a team plays.

As for Sunday, It's quite a tough call.
If we play 3-5-2 with Phillips as the right wing back, Hazard will utterly destroy us. Phillips is doing very well going forward, but he just won't/can't defend. It was a little ironic that, when we switched to the wing back system against Villa, our International wing back was taken off. Of course Phillips had to stay on, so therein lies the problem.
IMO we must have three central midfield players against Chelsea or else their midfield will destroy us. This means either playing 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
Ramsey will want Austin and Zamora to start, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us start with three at the back.
I think I'd go for something like this:

    -------------------------------Green----------------------------
    Isla--------------Onuoha-------------Hill-----------------Yun
    ---------------------Barton------------Sandro-----------------
    Phillips--------------------Taarabt--------------------Traore
    --------------------------Austin-----------------------------------

Kranjcar for Taarabt if Adel isn't fit.

    Or a 4-3-3 like this:

    ----------------------------------Green-----------------------------
    Isla----------------Onuoha--------------Hill-----------------Yun
    -------------------Henry--------------------Sandro---------------
    ---------------------------------Barton-----------------------------
    Phillips----------------------Austin-----------------------Traore

That 4-3-3 looks tasty, hopefully Henry will subtlety introduce himself to Hazard early on...

It's very much 4-2-3-1 for me and I like Col's selection (above).

I won't boo Remy because before he went to the 'Sneakers' he was liked by all of us. Blame our club for letting him be a bench warmer at scum.
Terry on the other hand should get all the abuse we can give. That horrible racist muppet needs 90Mins of everything we can give.
I'm glad that muppet Costa isn't playing because he is a dirty little cheat.
Other than that i don't have any ill feeling towards Chelsea....other than i hope the whole club implodes up Jose ars@.

They will dominate possession whatever formation we play.
I would bring in Henry as a holding midfield player though to try and make it tougher for them.

Would probably play the same formation/near enough the same team as Col, not sure what traore has done to warrant a start against Chelsea though, personally think he's a terrible footballer. Would start Hoilett instead

I just thought that Traore did really well when he came on last night.

Fair point, probably more of a personal thing. Just can't trust him out there!

    On balance I agree.
As has been said, Chelsea will dominate possession whatever we do, but we may as well make it as difficult as possible for them.

He's fast. He got a cross in from the left last night, first time in living memory. But, yeah, you're right, he's a bit **** and away with the clouds. We're not exactly spoilt for choice though.

This is the problem with our left side. Both Hoilett and Traore are probably most effective when coming on and running at an already spent full back. Kranjcar has proven himself to be effectively less than useless in that role, so I would leave Clint at left back and play Yun in the forward left position. He will also be the most tactically aware at giving cover to Hill which he'll desperately need.

Actually scrap that idea. I forgot to consider the Caulker effect. I'll go with Col's team.

Feck knows what our line up will be. All I can say is, this is like a bonus game. We are not expected to even come close to them so we might as well give it one hell of a go.

I urge every supporter attending to sing your hearts out. Make it louder than it was when they lost their heads a couple of years ago, got 2 sent off and lost to us 1-0. I will give the racist Mr.Terry a particularly loud boo every time he touches the ball.

You'll have a job getting the sink past security.

But in case you do somehow manage it.........please flush John Terry down the trap.

I agree, we got to really get at them at LR with our support behind 100%. We did them before and can again. 4 2 3 1 for me, with hopefully a fit Adel in the 3, and we need more speed than we had Tuesday. I'd have:

    ----------------------Green---------------
    Ned---------Caulker-------Clint------Traore
    ----------------Barton----Sandro (or Henry)
    ------Phillips----------Adel-----------Hoillet
    --------------------Austin (or OBZ)

Hope Fer and Dunne can get on the Bench.

I also considered putting Ned at right back to put some muscle and speed up against Hazard. Caulker and Clint up against Remy makes me shudder somewhat.
