It's funny isn't it - do we want to see the very best drivers in the sport, or do we want to see good racing. I hover between the two. Romain pulled out some epic passes in that race (and on a proper old school track), but then you can't help but think that Lewis/Max/Charles etc would absolutely mince this lot.
To be honest, there are some incredible drivers in Indy right now. Some of the younger drivers are absolute quality, and I really think Dixon would have made a brilliant F1 driver.
Agreed on Dixon, and I think Pato would probably have a good fist of doing something mid-level. But I don't see there's any there at the Max/Charles ability (not that it matters at all).
O'Ward could be exceptional. I rate him a lot. Always hard to tell how they might fair in F1 though as the cars are just completely different beasts. Put Hamilton or Max in and Indycar, and I reckon they could boss it, but they are two very exceptional drivers.
