What's your point? That he should be our manager because he's great managing teams that have to make £25m profit every year?

Yeah, that hasn't been us for a few seasons now.

Or is your point that Wenger has gotten us further up the league and further in the CL with these better players he's bought??

    Arsenal are a sleeping giant.

    Wenger is the sandman.

Go on then 10. And how many from that 10 are not at a Top club already.

Don't get me wrong. Wenger is no longer elite but there's not that many elite managers available.

Even 2007 - 2012. How many managers could finish top four in the EPL every year on that miniscue transfer budget? With the fact we were required to sell players for income.

It was Wengers ability to 1. Be shrewed in the market and 2. bring through talent that kept us in a strong position during a difficult period.

LVG cant even finish Top four after spending 250m.

You have to at least try even if it doesn't work out, treading water in 4th has really started to lose it's appeal

But the usual excuses for top 4 this season have evaporated. We see the team and manager for what it is right now, and they aren't as good as we think they are...

That shows how good he is and we as a club have an Identity,Arsene could have gone 3 times to Bayern,3 times to Real Madrid, twice to PSG and once each to Chelsea and Man City in his prime right after the 2004 but he stuck by us becoming a shield for the club saying money was available when it was not and doing the best for us...So in return the least we can do as Arsenal is let the man run down his contract and anyways regardless of how mch barking goes on,the club are not going to sack him before the end of his contract.

It shows how good he is in scenarios that Arsenal FC are not in.

The only point you have that's valid is that he's done enough for us in the past that he should be able to run out his contract. But that was also true when his last contract ended and wasn't achieving anything. And he just signed a new one. So if he signed another new one, would you just say "we should respect him enough to let him see it out"? At what point does this end?

A good manager will oversee progression in the clubs results/trophies/players year on year.
When did Wenger last improve Arsenals results/trophies/players ?
Nuff said. (Except that the prices to watch Arsenal are an embarrassment)
Too many years of myopic complacency.
