AW is better than 95% of managers out there? So in your opinion, in the top five leagues containing approx 100 teams (France, Germany, Spain, Italy and England) there are only 4-5 managers better than Arsene Wenger?
You know what's funny are the same fans defending wenger for being great are the same ones who would have no time for another manager performing the same at another club. We just won 1 in our last 6 games, 4 of our last 14, if this was another club say Spurs, the same fans would be having a complete laugh at them and their manager. Its a tough one. He's been with you guys so long and did revolutionize English football. A lot of fans forget his contribution. For a lot of fans he's been there since they started supporting. From an outsider I think you do need a change. You're always pretty good but not quite good enough to win the majors. He just doesn't invest enough. This point is also reflected in the Champs League. In 20 odd years he's only been in 1 final and never won. That's a poor record. He never seems to learn from his short comings - hence the repetitiveness and its even annoying as a rival fan watching. I think it will be a shock for a year or two but ultimately you'll be stronger. He cant go on forever - why not make a change whilst you have a strong squad that just needs a few tweaks?
I agree with everything apart from the bolder. I could easily name ten managers that are better than Wenger in this present moment. People should really stop living on his past glories. It's disingenuous to do so. Wenger is finished. But he does deserve our respect and should be replaced in a dignified manner. He has to go this season though.
The basic premise here is that Wenger should only be replaced if we have somebody better. Otherwise it's a step backwards.

The truth is he was past his best years ago but what was keeping him in his position was his great financial work in developing Arsenal into the club its become. Problem is he's been regularly shown up for his tactical deficiencies, but he also doesn't know how to create a successful title winning team or know how to motivate them enough to succeed. If anyone needed evidence of this then look no further than this season. We have a squad that should be challenging for the title and have 3 genuine world class players. But we are 8 points behind league leaders Leicester who on paper have a far inferior squad and manager??? I really can't understand how anyone would think Wenger could win the Premiership, let alone be regarded as an elite manager.
