Not sure what to think for this simple reason; Has there been a succesful Brazilian play in England? There have been a few good brazilian players but they never seem to thrive in the same way other nationalities do. No idea if its cultural, stylistic or whatever. Brazilians have done very well in Italy and Spain while say Spanish and Dutch players have done well in England on the whole well. In the same way has there been truly effective Italian players in the Premier league? Ramires is doing well at chelsea and so is Luiz, while Oscar is a wait and see. Da Silvas are okay. Could be the weather, the food, could be anything. Plus Brazilian players have a tendancy to go downhill after 27/28. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, to name a few. What do people think? Disco
Hope he does well certainly seems to have the skill. Would have liked to see us add some physical presence this window in defence and defensive midfield eg diame. If Gerrard is injured I could see Rodgers picking a midfield 3 of Allen, Lucas and coutinho. They would be brushed aside by most teams in the league quite easily.
Thank **** that's done - that transfer took an age!! I wonder if Ayre is thinking of sloping off early again tomorrow
More likely he's off to play golf until June I hope this lad reaches his full potential with us but I can't see him making much difference to our results anytime soon. Basically let's not get carried away and expect too much too soon. As critical as I've been of FSG over the last two years at least they've backed Rodgers this window. Over to you now Buck.
