Not entirely sure on that midfield, not saying that their incapable of playing wide, but I'd much rather have players playing in their natural positions.

Injuries have forced it to a certain extent though. There is certainly a danger of it all being a bit too narrow though.

    I imagine it's 4-2-3-1. Very intriguing formation

Absolutely. If Snod and Bassong are not 100% there is no point in playing them in my opinion

I think Fer will be on the left hand side. He played there against Panaitolikos when he came on.

I agree Bennett or Snodgrass would be starting, but I'm not sure why Olsson hasn't started on the left and Redmond has been moved to the right.

Nope, can't get my head around that either. Is it our standard 4-2-3-1 with Fer out wide, or....? We've got 4 central midfielders on the pitch which is, um, interesting.

Presumably either Howson or Fer will start out wide. I guess we'll see!

They're banging on about RvW having 12 touches - fewest of any Premier League player who played a full match since 2007...

I keep saying it but no-one listens: we played wide last season because of who we had. We are going to play a lot less wide this season. We've got a lot of power in the centre now. Mind you, this selection is even more adventurous than I anticipated. Can anyone see a "tall, lanky winger" anywhere on the field in a yellow shirt?

Sky reckon 4-4-1-1 with Howson wide and Fer behind RvW. Hmmm

RVW scored with the fewest touches in the premier league

There you go, shows how easy it is to manipulate stats.
