Having moaned about United's style, I think, only Swansea and Spurs can claim to be playing more "attractive" football than us. In terms of exciting, we are definitely the best, banging in and letting in too, to our hearts' content.
And about attractive football, last night's footy made me realise more so that Barcelona are just plain boring, their dominance just kills the competitive element out of matches and makes it too much of a tactical battle. I'm beginning to think Barca are getting bored of their own game, that'd be better for the game as a whole (no logic whatsoever) but I'd rather pay to watch Utd, Munich or Madrid over Barcelona. Gotta love what Milan did.
Milan were superb. No doubt some half wit will be out there saying they parked the bus and played anti football, whatever the **** that's supposed to mean, but they sussed Barca out and did a number on them. It's enjoyable watching Barcelona squirm when they can't get past a well organised side. We should try it when we play them.
What's better? Playing attractive football? Or playing winning football? If you play ugly football and win then who the **** cares? At least you're playing football, not Rugby like Stoke.
i would rather play boring football and win rather than the Arsenal way of doing it, pass pass pass pass and give it away.
If AC Milan beat Barcelona in a couple of weeks, then the tournament is open, i can see us winning it.
I reckon Vilanova has just taken the easy route and turned them into flat track bullies. They're rolling over all the poor teams in La Liga, but as soon as they come up against a decent side with a decent plan like Milan, or even Celtic, they are struggling.
With Barca going out maybe and Real weaker than recent seasons, United have a chance. Chelsea, and the Milans have shown how to beat Barca. Maybe it is United's turn to conquer Catalans
