Now we are 4-1 down and look totally gutted

Cant believe it, i blame shola, sure we have made defensive errors but its hard playing with 10 men and he directly contributed to two of the goals by losing posession.
 
No. Blame goes to Pardew for this one. High line again (when did it last work?). Long ball when we could calm it down with a bit of short passing. Not addressing the fact that Johnson & Zamora just keep peeling away from the defence and dropping into the hole.
 
Well ultimately blame goes to pards of course for playing shola and for the dumb tactics but if shola put in an ounce of effort we wouldnt have lost the ball they wouldnt have got the pen, different game different story
 
The high line tactics don't work! We've now conceded 7 goals in 2 games against Fulham and West Brom. We need to stop doing this. On another note, Shola should also never be allowed near a football pitch ever again, even though we all know he'll start again next week.
 
Overall balance of play over the entire game we don't even deserve to have lost really, but whichever way you look at it conceding five goals in one half is completely inexcusable.

No because its a ****ing ridiculous thread and a completely ridiculous statement.

seriously how can you blame a striker for us conceding at the time of the thread 4 goals? they are 10 players behind ameobi and you chose to blame the "easy target". its one of the most uneducated statements ive ever read on this forum and thats saying something.
 
Just watched the match, can't believe my eyes. Absolute stroll in the 1st half yet constantly gave the ball away resulting in major damage in the 2nd. I thought Shola was abysmal, constantly offside,strolling around like a donkey. Williamson pulled all over by Johnson time after time.
Great Benny goal as well as Guthrie's.
Totally pissed off.
 
We have to remember how we played in that 1st half. We go to Brighton and if we think of that second half then we will go with a negative attitude and probably lose.

Just incredibly naive. Andy Johnson wasn't nominated for the Ballon D'or was he? Is that definite?.......r*ped by an average player with a bit of pace. Incredible.

That high line we played first half worked a treat vs Zamora. 2nd half was totally wrong. Nicely done boys. Nicely done.
