Neither. Thought you would be first with the answer and then point out that it completed a run of 4 consecutive seasons when Hull City did this and you had watched them all!
Very foggy, in fact the fog even played tricks on my eyes that day! I could have sworn I saw Bryan Hughes score
No it isn't. We won't lose too much ground in the run in if we're beaten. Plus there's enough winnable matches coming up. We can also gain much confidence, going into the Leicester match at them weekend, if we give Southampton a game.
Yes it is, 10 games left, 7 wins should make the playoffs, we need to win all out home games at least as we have tough away games vs Leicester, West Ham and Portsmouth to name but a few. Every home game is a definite must win.
You are aware that they came from 2-0 down to beating Milwall 3-2 on Saturday. We let an Ipswich team come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home. If we manage to scrap a draw I will happy but I fear we will lose this one
Well I am hoping City come out of the tunnell in the same frame of mind as they did at Cardiff. Surely will have learnt from the Ipswich game but for me it is impossible to predict what the score will be. I don't even know how Nick will pick the team when a few of the players are not consistent. Also luck does have a lot to do with it, suppose I could say whoever makes the least mistakes cos as we saw at Ipswich one mistake can change the game completely.
WRONG. Lambert put Saints 1-0 up after 16 mins then gave away 2 sloppy goals one of which was an own goal. Then they got back with a penalty (stupid millwall defending) and then another penalty which IMO was harsh. 2-2 would have been fair from what i saw of it. FLS. But Saints fans feel that despite there results there form is nowhere near as good as it was earlier in the season. When City played down there Saints were on fire at home and we outplayed them that night for most parts. As NB said, we are better now than back then. i think at least a draw but an open game suits us more. Hobbs v. Lambert is a battle i for one am looking forward to very much. UTT
Tom Cairney for me will start for the injured Evans. Tc played very well 2nd half @ Palace and this game suits TC down to the ground. Points to prove against a classy Saints team. We just need to get Mckenna through this game without a booking. So he would be ok for Festa game saturday. Then he can take the booking and miss the easier games against Pompey and Coventry and have a much needed rest and be ready for Millwall away on 7th april.
Is Evans injured? TdotC definitely to start tomorrow, even if Evans is fine, he had a great second half.
Correct he did. Evans tweaked his hamstring. But yes TC should start. He looked like the PL player we used to have.
No big time should start, he gave us a whole new dimension to our play, there wasn't just Koren knocking sweet balls around and really threatening from range when TdotC was on, they may be top of the league but were at home and the more pressure we can put on them and more we give them to think about the better.
What has Evans done to deserve dropping? Cairney having one good half doesn't mean he should then stroll back into the team at the expense of a player who has been doing his job very well also.
Nothing but I think Cairney deserves another go after that, with him in the side we looked a lot more dangerous, it wasn't only the front 4 that could cause problems but when the ball dropped back into midfield he was there and looked capable of scoring or creating a goal out of nothing. He's exactly the type of player we need ATM with our scoring problems IMO.
