Thank **** for that, fed up forking out £40 visiting tinpot clubs like Norwich with their ****ty little grounds and inbred support
Ipswich shabbily ran hahhhaa embarrassing post. While you have a good chance of going up this season you're not absolute certainties.....
We are on a very sound financial footing and we will come in well below the FFP stipulations so thanks for your concern but we are doing just fine thank you!
Er no it doesn't. The question was how much is the clubs debt now? And to think it was not so long ago your lot were waving around £20 notes at our fans!
Marcus Evans owns our debt so it is internal and we have no other creditors. If we were in the financial s**te as you want to make out just answer me this. Why did our owner turn down combined bids of 11 Million for two of our players in the Summer if our finances were in a poor state? Now please go away as you're boring!
Just one more post then I will be off. The shocking state of Ipswich Town's finances and lack of proper leadership by owner Marcus Evans (pictured) have been exposed. The club is said to owe thousands to a raft of local suppliers, with reports from the training ground that vehicles had been repossessed, and then returned when the outstanding payments were made. Now a supporters group has called on the club to pay up, with fears Town could go into administration as it has in the past. Trust Chair Alasdair Ross said: 'Many local people have bitter memories about the amount of money owed to local businesses such as florists and caterers, and organisations including the St. John`s Ambulance, when the club went into administration in 2003. 'For an organisation already carrying over £80m worth of debt, relatively small amounts owed to local businesses may seem inconsequential, but for many of these local businesses it could mean the difference between survival or collapse. 'The local community, including those who lost money, stood by the club during the administration period, and we want to know that this faith is being rewarded by the club honouring its debts to local businesses now.' It would be shame if a decent run of form on the pitch is overshadowed by events off it. Read more: http://www.ipswich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=341503#ixzz3EdtlPRo7
It never fails to amaze me the fascination with these minor details for some supporters.. . we do all seem to be as bad as each other (though some seem to have developed a skill for it) Today it is a club's debt.. last week it was willy waving over how many fans turn up to support etc.. then it was quality of each player compared with everyone else in the league... what will it be next week? Though I'd guess the Norwich Promotion countdown will continue to see plenty of meteorically optimistic opinions with yellow tinted spectacles. We can't all be sucking at the teet of the Premier league udders.. some of us are getting our house in order, something you may have a rude awakening having to do if this season goes tits up. Time will tell on this one, but I think it is very fair to say that for a club with no parachute payments, we are one of the best run clubs in the league.. I would recommend you take as close a look at some of the others as you seem to have done for us. It might very well surprise you
I always look at how Ipswich are doing in the Championship when judging the overall strength of the league.
While sure we are in a huge amount of debt - £80 mill compared with £36 mill when Evans took us on we are becoming quite well run financially at last. The big earners are all pretty much off the books, and we will adhere to the FFP criteria which is pleasing Sure, we're still making big losses and sadly are getting piss poor gates, but we're certainly better ran than many other clubs in this division no question.
