Don't care about 4th. Kenny's back, Tom and George Glazer are long gone and we've got five - hmm, is that right? let me count them up again? Yes, even anti-Liverpool sites say we've won five European titles. One more season out don't make no never mind. The priority is the league because this Utd squad are starting to show the cracks and over the next few years we will be dominant over them once again - Fergie's trying to get Scholes to call off his retirement and join Giggsy on the SAGA stairlift, ferchrissakes. Their secret weapon is Anderson! We need to start the league dominance asap, then sit back and enjoy their tears as they turn on Fergie for supporting the Glazers and not wearing a green and vomit scarf like what darling handsome Becksy did.
If Kenny identifies the players we need for the positions we need strengthening which I'm sure he will and thats why he went for Suarez in the first place.and unless he is a fortune teller(Which I don't think he is),He would never haved predicted that Torres was going to do what he did.He acted swiftly to address the balance and fair play to the owners for allowing him too.Do you remember when we sold Robbie Keane back to Spurs and Hicks and Gillett pocketed the cash and it wasn't re-invested.Those that doubt the current owners should look at that.John Henry and NESV acted as quickly as they possibly could. It was Kenny and not Damien Comolli that wanted Andy Carroll,Kenny identified Andy Carroll, because can spot strikers,he knows only too well what sort of animal Andy Carroll is and what he can offer. It was last ditch and the price was a little high, but we'd little choice,it was either pay it or be short.Kenny will get the rewards for having the courage to go out and pay the money.I reckon and this is just me,that signing Andy Carroll was a masterstroke.Apart from Drogba,He's the biggest handful in the premiership.
I don't think we will realistically get forth. Technically possible, but it would be a miracle if we did. I think the top 6 will stay pretty much how they are now. United Arsenal City Chelsea Spurs Pool Arsenal may win, Chelsea might overthrough City.
I think/hope arsenal will catch the rags and city have an easier run in than most so I think 1 arsenal 2 trafford rags 3 city 4 Chelsea 5 spuds 6 scousers
Dream scenario would be: Arsenal United City Liverpool Spurs Chelsea Realistically it'll be: United Arsenal City Chelsea Spurs Liverpool Although I'd like for either Arsenal to win it or Chelsea to finish outside the top 4. If one of these happens I'll be satisfied with finishing in the Europa places.
I find your denial entertaining, which is a first for you so well done. Adding an emoticon doesn't change the truth, even if your friends down the playground tell you it's dead cool, yeah. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-Paul-Scholes-playing-Manchester-United.html Sir Alex Ferguson is still struggling to persuade Paul Scholes to sign for another season as a player with Manchester United. The Manchester United manager would prefer the 36-year-old midfielder, who made his United debut in 1994, to follow the example of teammate Ryan Giggs and sign on for another season as a player. 'I want Scholesy to stay but he is such a proud person,' said Ferguson. 'He wants to play every game. That's what he's like and I fully understand that. 'But if I can get him to buy into the way I've been using him, sparing him in some games and using him in important games, he has fantastic value for us.' Scholes has been promised a job on the Manchester United backroom staff but Ferguson does not want him to take it for another year. In other news, Liverpool deny considering bringing back Joey Jones and Ron Yeats to their current squad. "We're trying to sign young players, not just avoid paying somebody a pension," said a club spokesman, while bravely attempting to stifle a chuckle at ã14m for Anderson being considered as value in the market.
ã14 millon for Anderson. Nah it was worse than that.It was ã20.4 million.Add the ã18.6 million they spent on Carrick and the ã18 million they spent on Harcrock. It does prove that fools and their money are easily parted.
6th place and winning Uefa Cup would be classed as a good season in my view. Investment required come summer.
I reckon 5th or 6th depending on how badly Chelsea do in their next few games. My heart says we'll get the Europa league - but there's so many strong teams left, and after that performance I just hope we can pull it together.
I don't think there is many teams to fear in the Europa league,we've beaten the strongest teams left in it in the champions league ie PSV being one of them.Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon both being out is a big bonus. They possibly could have caused some problems.I can't see a team left in it apart from Citeh that can prevent us from at least getting to the semis.
City, Porto, Ajax, PSG, Villarreal are all left in it and pose a suitable risk in my opinion, although I don't keep up much with european rankings and football - historically they are very good sides and I know that Porto and City will pose considerable threats. Ajaw, Twente and PSV make up the top 3 rankings in the Dutch Eridivisie at the moment, Porto and Benfica are the top 2 rankings in the Portuguese Liga, Villarreal and Sevilla are 4th and 7th in La Liga respectively. I don't think they will be as much of a pushover as we think, after all.. Sparta Prague weren't as easy as we thought. But I know where you're coming from - it does make a change from the Barcelonas and Real madrids who we used to face in the Champions league.
