We hit some bad form, tends to happen unless you're a champions league qualifying contenders, you should know that, Newcastle had an impresive run of form at some point and look what happened. <whistle>

Don't think we need to worry about not turning up on Sunday now we're safe. I do want 12th spot though. :p

I actually think it's critical for SAFC to turn up on Sunday and win. It's not so much about 12th or getting the money but the outlook for the summer and beyond. If you kick on it means you can look up the table in future and by all means contest for 7th-10th spot. If the team falters it means when they're not up against it they won't try. You were okay after Gus came in but that poor run is what got you in trouble in first place.

Pretty much the same for us, if we go to Anfield and get hammered 6-0 again it won't bode well for the summer and beyond. But if we get a draw those trying to do the recruiting in summer won't look so desperate.

EH? What utter tosh! We've been up against it all season and I've seen us not try - there was something different in these last 5 games and it was nothing to do with "being up against it" - just that Gus had said the right things in the dressing room and to the media. If we lose, we lose - I honestly think he'll tinker on Sunday - Bardsley will start and I think Gardner will get some game time just as a "cheerio" type. If we lose then our recruitment process will probably be the same as it would anyhow.
