Archer; Smith, Caulker, Hall, Fryers; Livermore, Carroll; Townsend, Kane, Pritchard; Obika for the final? Think that team's eligible, just about. Probably a little unfair on the regulars, though.
Would not really want to field Townsend out of 'fairness' (Carroll although a senior has not been getting anywhere near the PL game time Townsend had) . My suggested lineup would be : Archer/Miles, Smith, Hall, Veljkovic, Fryers, Carroll, Luongo, Pritchard, Kane, Obika, Ceballos. That was nearly all the side that easily saw off Man Utd in the home game of the Elite group.
No I am not, but I have just paid 6 quid to MUTV to watch the game. They have got that bloody dinosaur Paddy Crerand in their studio. He is doing my head in already.
"They have got that bloody dinosaur Paddy Crerand in their studio. He is doing my head in already." I have it on mute until KO.
"Both teams start with 8 English players which seems to upset Crerand. Stuart Pearce in the crowd. " They are saying lots of scouts there. But not enough French to tempt Le Toon down.
"Spurs won their initial group and went on to win the Elite group, with Man Utd finishing behind them on both occasions" - MUTV. Why are we playing off against them, again? At their place, too.
Why, though? Surely it should either be a neutral venue or the club that won the league should host it? Amos making a rash move there. Shouldn't have come for that without being sure he was going to get there.
"Surely it should either be a neutral venue or the club that won the league should host it?" Not that sort of fixture (though the Norwich home turnout for the FA youth cup kinda quashes that) .
