I think you also have to take into account Tottenham's continuing participation in the U19 NextGen Series - our next match is on Wednesday away to Paris St. Germain. The club was probably worried about a backlog of fixtures if the FA Youth Cup game or the Academy PL match against West Brom was postponed.
"I think you also have to take into account Tottenham's continuing participation in the U19 NextGen Series - our next match is on Wednesday away to Paris St. Germain." A timely reminder. I will have to prep up for some stream trawling in advance (if Eurosport or PSG have a live feed) .
It's a 4pm kick off RDBD (their time) and don't forget home to Arsenal next Saturday 12 mid-day at the training ground.
I will be at home the day of the Nextgen game, so I will search the Net on the off-chance we get lucky and there is a 'PSG TV' feed put up like there was for the Inter Milan away game in 2011. A 4pm KO means tis unlikely there would be Eurosport coverage of that game (if any) .
The U19 NextGen Series Knock-out Phase starts tonight with Ajax hosting Aston Villa at De Toekomst (KO 19:00). Spurs are in action tomorrow night when we travel to Paris St. Germain (KO 17:00). The Round of 16 matches are decided on the night with extra time and penalties if needed. Also, a reminder that Tottenham Hotspur U21s play Arsenal at Hotspur Way, Enfield on Saturday 23rd February, KO 12:00. The public are allowed access to these matches, so it may be well worth paying the lads a visit. Spurs are currently top of the Elite Group with 13 points from 5 matches with Arsenal in 7th place in the 8-team group on 2 points from their 3 games played so far.
Our team today to face PSG is as follows - Vigoroux, Barthram, Ward, Veljkovic, Ball, Stewart, McEvoy, Bentaleb, Coulthirst, Winks, Lameiras. Subs - Dombaxe, Priestly, Ogilvie, Lesniak, Mc Enuff, Michael-Percival, Akindayini. Kick off is at 4pm our time.
Other games of interest taking place today, are Barcelona v Chelsea at 5pm and Sporting Lisbon v Liverpool at 7pm. Last nights result was Ajax 1 Aston Villa 2.
1-0 up at half-time. Coulthirst with the goal. For updates: https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial I'd like to see a team with DJ Campbell and Mc Enuff upfront one day.
YES !!!!!!! We win the penalty shoot out 4-3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our kids can take penalties?! Is that allowed? Chelsea are currently beating Barca 2-0, despite being down to 10 men. It's in injury time, so it's basically over. Two English sides through.
