And drawing too many as well. Easy to be critical but we are throwing away 2 points every game we draw, and worse still is that against Barnsley, Bradford & Fleetwood we've drawn games from a winning positions and that needs looking at urgently. How much better would the league table look with another 6 points added to our tally. Results went for us today, but PNE are gaining ground, don't draw many, and may yet be our biggest threat.
I think Preston are our biggest threat. But a couple of wins on the bounce would make things look quite rosy for us. Worth remembering that all the top six have been having ups and downs while we have continued to pick up at least a point on bad days. Swindon a couple of weeks ago were threatening a run towards us, and Peterborough and Chesterfield also. This week its Preston. I put this inconsistency down to flying in the face of public opinion, in that I think Div1 is a strong league this year and many of the top end sides are getting bitten by those underneath, which frankly is quite painful for them.
Agreed. They've only lost once, don't draw many and if they win their 2 games in hand they will overtake us. Beating them in November would be nice.
Preston have 3 away games in 8 days starting from Tuesday - Orient, Rochdale and Swindon Don't forget we have come from behind to draw/win as well
And what really impressed me was the City players grabbing the ball from the back of the Barnsley net when we made it 2-2, obviously all keen to try and win the game Respect !!!!
wow........we moan when we lose all the time and even when we dont lose ALL season so far we moan we draw too many................i give up, i'd rather be where we are now than where we were last season at this point!
Unbelievable we are top the league enjoy people,when was the last time we sat top the league for so long.
We ARE top and of course that's good - but we want to remain there and PNE and Sheffield United are catching up fast. If we continue to draw games and ship 2 goals in the process we will end the season mid-table. It needs fixing now.
I have just checked current form (last ten league games) and PNE are top with 23 points and we are second on 22 pts. That may alter with tomorrow evening Orient v PNE. A win would keep them on 23 pts in 10 but a draw or defeat would put us back on top for both last ten and the season.

We got out of this month still on top! Just... but what an achievement. 4 months at the top, if we don't win the league now we'll be kicking ourselves. Just always have to win 1 more game than Swindon/Preston
And Mk Dons, three games in hand and 8 points behind. Hopefully their bubble burst really quick don't want to get to march with them breathing down our necks. Like last season we all thought Crawley won't catch us with their games in hand, albiet we didn't need to worry hopefully this season will be the same.
