As a newbie I can agree with this. Some of the cockbending clown shoes need to wind their necks in a tad from time to time. It can come across like bickering fishwives.
I agree with your long post Mr live the dream....I am loving this season. I would be even if we was in division four. Would I still go IF we had a new bigger stadium at Melton ? Yes But I wouldn't if we dropped the Hull. Hull Tigers and its the same team / club iv always supported Melton Tigers and its not . IMO
Hi Kempton, A good post I get the some in - some out with the name change etc...I have no problem with supporters having different opinions. The 'bit' that gets my goat with Allam is the hissy fits he has when it appears or does not get his own way. It is cringeworthy listening to him now because you cannot believe anything that he says. Lie number 1) when questioned he said "no there will not be a name change".........fast forward is it 2 weeks and lo and behold "we are changing to Hull Tigers" potential lie number 2) I will walk within 24 hours if I dont get the name change.......passes COULD go up by 50% if no name change. His spats with anyone who crosses him are tedious. Initially, the supporters against the name change were not against Allam. Now IMO those same supporters are actually against both the name change and Allam. I have only seen one game this season. I relinquished my pass at the end of last season. I was hoping to renew for next season but tbh i am not going to line the pockets of such a diseased man who thinks the typical Hull City supporter is ****e on his shoes.
No one is preventing new members from expressing an opinion. A member expresses an opinion and people may ignore it, accord with it or challenge it (with levels inbetween). Personally, I don’t think I’ve read anything excessive from anyone on this forum and if people are too offended or too thin skinned by people’s responses to be put off posting then perhaps this particular form of internet exchange isn’t correct for them. In my opinion, having a point of view and discussing that point of view (if desired) are the important elements. Whereas I can agree that so called abuse may be and can be childish, so is the desire to crave some sort of ratification from strangers and to complain if this is not delivered.
Agree with this. People love to proclaim how persecuted they are but if you make a reasoned post and someone replies with a structured argument opposing your opinion and giving theirs then they are not giving you "abuse". Most of the time when people claim to be shot down as new posters it is because they make ridiculous claims and try to put down people that don't think what they think with petty insults i.e. the OP basically calling people that disagreed a ******. A trend with new posters also seems to be making a huge first post with very little acceptance for the other side of the argument and they always finish with a conclusion as if they have resolved the discussion, and theirs is the only acceptable opinion that can be held on the matter. If someone is genuinely abusive to a new poster which is very rare from my experience on the board then you need to let it run off your back. On the internet as in real life there are people that look to provoke reaction and get kicks from winding people up and you need to learn to deal with that. I'm sure there are people like that on both sides of the argument.
True. The daft thing is that if someone challenges or rubbishes your opinion, it actually gives you the opportunity to reinforce and strengthen your argument/point of view.
Can i just be clear that i never said any one who disagrees with me is a ******. My post clearly says that the good posters on this board are divided on this subject. Some are for, lots are against. All i did yesterday was give my opinion. If nobody agreed with me that's fine. However i did say i would be shot down by some of the usual ******s, there are posters on here who will not listen to reasoned argument and try to put down anyone with a different opinion. They try to belittle and bully people, its only one or two but they are here. Like i said i have read this forum for some time and I know already who's posts IMO hold more value. I don't have to like everyone do i? I have not been put off posting, i expected worse yesterday to be honest. I'm looking forward to the Cardiff game tomorrow, it's a must not lose in my opinion, a draw would be OK. A win would be massive. UTT
Agreed. Shame the owner has done his usual moronic 'club statement' ****e. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse.
Has anyone read the opening post? First time looking at this thread, and after 5 words it was evidently a mammoth portion of drivel.
