I was scrolling through this thread, thinking "there are none so blind as those that will not see" and you beat me to it.
So just because you haven't reached your own personal threshold the rest of us should accept the name change. What happens if we move to Melton, and are renamed to Melton tigers, and people say "but it's the same team, what's the problem?" Can't you understand that threshold has been crossed already for thousands of fans, by removing City? When Wimbledon moved to Milton Keynes the business name remained the same so in law was the same entity, but how many people regarded it as the same team?
Look Macca, i know you feel strongly about this and thats fine, you see them both as bad things and therefore the same. However i think moving the club is far worse than our proposed name change. From that point of view they are not the same. And for the premier league remark, yes you are a better fan than me. Well done.
What if we moved to the moon? What if? We are not. You can make up your own mind as i'm sure you will.
You've completely ignored the point. When you was asked if you would support us following a move to Melton, you said yes. You also said what Wimbledon did was wrong. In that moment you contradicted yourself. You would be happy for us to move and change name, but also considered it was a bad thing when Wimbledon did it.
So you wouldn't support your own club? Doesn't that essentially contradict everything you previously said on this thread?
It does to some. Some whore off every word our owners say now we're PL, but are significantly quiet when we're in the lower leagues.
You started this thread by suggesting that because he intends to remain as Hull that's all that matters and we should accept it. You have now admitted that things could change that would cause you to rethink your support. So it's alright for you to have your principles but the rest of us have to shut up until we reach your tipping point. Think about how you would feel if we did move to Melton and we were called Melton tigers, however much you can't see it, that's how I feel over losing City. It might be only a name but its important to me and thousands of Hull City fans and football fans generally.
We are not moving, please understand that. I don't want us to move. Happy? The name is not such a big deal for me. As long as the name has Hull in it and not totally crazy I can live with it. Hull Tigers is not as bad as you are making out IMO.
I never said we were moving, you were asked by a couple of users if you would support us if we did move and you said yes!! Do you not ****ing understand? Okay then, let's call ourselves Red Bull Hull Tigers Franchise. Perfectly fine, it has Hull in the name.
