Gutted! Distraught!! Heartbroken!!! Season ticket holder, so guaranteed a final ticket, but fly to Maldives on 20th and not back until 3rd March. It will cost me a fortune to cancel, postpone or miss hols so I will miss the final. (Don't bother asking for my ticket. It has already been promised to my brother.) Enjoy the day and sing your hearts out. I'll watch the recording when I get home.
Returned to work this morning, after a week off. Started at 05.20, by 06.00 my days off had been requested and granted. Home just after 14.00 and have now booked train (£14 each way Southampton Central to Waterloo - bargain) and also booked into the London Harrow Premier Inn (only £62 which ain't bad for London, and just 7 minutes away from Wembley by tube), so I can relax and have a few beers afterwards, to celebrate. Train back Monday morning. Last night I dugout my old Oyster card, for the underground travel, couldn't log in to my account, but the very nice people at TFL, sorted that within an hour or so, and pleased to see I have £17.55 credit still on it, so no further expenditure, other than.........THE ticket.
The only lot they have issues with is Manchester United and that is replicated in equal measure, and Chelsea. Others they tolerate and respect, but if aroused LFC fans can give it back in equal measure. Who do Southampton fans have issues with? It just seems pathetic to pick on Tottenham as they are not even our rivals.
It's only a holiday and money. That's all. How much money have you had in your life and how many holidays? No brainer for me
Southampton will have two weeks break before he final. Manchester United will play against St Etienne on the Wednesday beforehand. However: Arsenal and home needs to be rearranged.
'Fraid not, it seems. Rule change. Runners Up don't get it if the winning team is already in the Europa. Read it on here.
No, I meant we were happy after the game in Cardiff....we were singing We're all going on a European Tour. I know it doesn't apply to us now.
Ah, OK. Would hate to think you were getting all excited and then there was a tiny possibility that we won't beat ManU.
It does seem odd that West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Millwall seem to have issues with Spurs. I don't think Saints need to join that lot of inglorious list.
Enjoy your holiday in the Maldives. You should have booked Mallorca and flown back just for the match. Besides, Mallorca has much more to offer than sand and sea and surfing.
Nasty club, Spurs. Bunch of third rate barrow boys Ides, best avoided. Always knew Pochettino was a spiv at heart
On the other hand you know my feelings about Tottenham. I like them. I also like Arsenal, good, traditional and massive club. Of the other London sides, not too keen on Chelsea fans as IMO many are "Johonny Come Lately " and like Manchester United, many are not from London. Their team is fine. Then there is West Ham .... absolutely charming bunch of thugs and if any club is spivvy, Archers, it is West Ham and their fans.
Going back to the 1960's when Milwall thuggery was at its zenith, I was always amazed that nothing ever kicked off when they came to the streets of Southampton. Chelsea fans, on the other hand, were by far the worst in my experience.
Loads of holidays and quite a bit of money. This holiday is about £7,000 all in, which is a lot of money, but peanuts compared to the cost of divorce. Some decisions make themselves
Wasn't there a notorious battle in the 70s involving Millwall, inside and outside the Warrens pub on Pear Tree Lane?
