We have a Billionaire owner already. Look how much weve spent compared to Swansea over the last 5 years!
A realistic aim now is to try and play out the season with a little bit of proud because there isn't a hope in he'll that we will stay up. The team is completely broken and we actually need to.go down to rebuild it I think. Gone with the high waged crap like Oshea, Larsson and sick note Brown. Vaughan Bardsley etc get all the dead wood out and build it back from the bottom up. Poyet must have know it was a likely outcome that he'd be managing us in the championship next season so he must see himself as the man to do it.
You may be right or you may be wrong bit nothing will convince me that relegation will be some kind of saviour for us. I think another relegation will finish us personally. It will be my 8th but younger fans won't stick it out like we all did. I have friends now with kids who don't want to go now and for whom anything outside the EPL is not worth discussing. We will just fade away if we are relegated.
No we aren't. But if these senior players that seem untouchable at our great club are allowed to keep their places they could take us down. Time for Poyet to stand up to the ****ers like PDC did and see what happens then. That first half I saw PDC's work ethic in force the second half I saw the same senior players lose the plot! **** I wish we had 10 cattermoles.
OK ... so it don't look great but Gus has only seen what we all knew about the standard of player we have been sending out on match day. Hopefully he can assess the situation tout suite. As he has just said in his PMV email .... It will take him 5 games to get some real influence to start working on this lot........ lets cringe and watch what happens .......... we can't get any lower than we seem to be just now, I reckon Larsson, JOS, Bardo, et al are "heads gone", Johnson was a non-event once again ........and he needs to drop this lot...... and bring in the developers that show hunger and desire, and chin up attitudes. Haway the Lads man.
Poyet should be given time ...... about 10 years with a chance of parole after 6 years No seriously, he can't change a crap team in one match but I still believe there's a good team in that squad. Just wish PDC had been allowed to clear the decks and create his own team.
We are just an awful side. Plain & simple I can't think of anyone weaker, even the promoted clubs all have a bit of spark. We are ****ed, but I'll enjoy visiting a couple of old stadiums next year, frankly, what's the point of being a perenial also ran?
Poyet said he learnt a lot today and from his face and posture i believe him. I think a few of them will be told today or tomorrow that the game against the mags is their last chance to man up - no point putting raw recruits out for that match anyway. Play with pride, dignity and passion v the skunks. Live or die with your performance in that one boys. Hull (and Bruce, which don't bode well) is where we start from. x
Just wondering if the players wanted Bally as manager so they played like they did for PDC at the end of his reign so that they can get GP sacked? or perhaps they are just a shower of sh**e I said a while ago (I think it was last season when MON was in charge) that we may have to go down to progress and nothing that I am seeing at the moment is changing my mind. Hope I am wrong tho
I think part of your problem is that you have a lot of unproven players, an unproven new manager plus a lot of players who have kept you in the bottom third for ages. Things not looking good. You could get 6 or 0 from the next two games. 0 would mean serious problems as both games are 6 pointers against relegation rivals. Poyet isn't the best solution.
Far from convinced you're going down yet. Just one win to get you going and then all the games except away to the top few teams start to look winnable. Only 6 points from safety and I genuinely fear you'll beat us next week. Yes you look dross but we (Newcastle) were terrible for most of last season and survived, you just need three teams to be worse and I think Norwich and Palace will be struggling heavily so just one other team like Fulham and the target could end up being 35 to survive. I hope your players are a bit more positive than some of the fans, though appreciate it must be hard at the moment. Good time for the derby for you guys I think, could be just the lift you need (even if its a draw and you play well).
I said on transfer deadline day we go down like. the next 2 league games are huge because if we don't pick up 4 points or more then we are well fuxx.
