The defeatist give up attitude on here is horribly depressing. It aint over till its over. Lots to play for and a long way to go. Enough other poor teams for us to turn it around. Thats the nature of a league. We've under performed and been awful at times but Harry is 3 games unbeaten and still getting to know his team and set out what he wants.

Very good bump to be fair '74. I haven't read through it yet but I know I was one of the doom mongers. Maybe, just maybe you boys might be onto something here.
TBF to the OP he was nearly right, we got lucky. Looks like we used it all up. I've tried to stay positive, but the fact is we have just played 3 of the worst teams in the division with our 'new manager bounce', and couldn't beat any of them, cos Hughes has built a team that doesn't know how to win a match. All summer chasing players we didn't need (see my bumped thread) rather than ones we did.
That's fair enough mate, but I think you're being unfair on those of us who believe we are going to be relegated. It's not defeatist imo. I will never give up hope and will give it my all at every game, but everyone who believes we will be relegated from this position is perfectly entitled to their opinion.
IMO there is not a realistic chance of staying up until we actually win at least two matches. Then we have to win those matches pretty soon.....
Wasn't meant as a dig at anyone Col. You're right everyone is entitled to an opinion. I was trying to inject some positive energy for people. The point being many gave up hope and resigned themselves to relegation last year. Had they remained positive and tried to enjoy things they may have enjoyed the battle that ensued. Last year was one of my most exciting as a Ranger. Everyone giving up hope and we battled back from the brink to shove it in the face of all those experts who said we couldnt do it. I intend to continue enjoying this year until it's not possible. To much moaning and life becomes miserable.
Thats true mate. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. In my case im bit tired of hoping anything good from this season anymore. Disapointment after another and some horrible performances have really weakened my belief. Sparky was a decent manager in my books a year ago and now wouldnt give my local team (on third level in finland) to him. Anyway this disbelief is only about this season. Of course some 15% of me still believe and the hope rises(as it did after cisses goal last saturday) If arry somehow agaist all odds manage to save us from relegation naturally i would be over the moon. Until then im ready for the worst......
