Tony Fernandes would have had a plan "b" if we didntst stay in the prem, and with our squad (albeit if it stays the same) we should win the championship next season at a canter.
Trouble is our team from last year wasnt really that good player by player, they massively overachieved. We had an old team with zero pace only suited to the NPC.
You only have 10 games left and only 2 of those are vs bottom half sides and those are away to sunderland and home to swansea. I feel sorry for you because it was very unlucky today. But you are down guys sorry. The run in is impossible for you. You might beat 1 of the big clubs but you wont beat 2/3 of them like you need to.
What worries me, is what team will we have next Aug? Barton, SWP, Zamora, Cisse, Ali etc etc will not play in the Champ. This means we will spend the summer months clearing out the deadwood and trying to build yet ANOTHER team. We will end up buying the best players in the Champ and then many of them will not be good enough for the Prem IF we get back up. Can't really see MH staying around either. I know this will not bother many of you but it would mean yet ANOTHER manager. For us to progress we really had to stay up this year. Can't get my head around the bad luck we are after having. Just incredible and sickening.
not sure of how long the contracts are for our "better"players?..maybe they've got clauses added regarding relegation. To be fair the so called better players havent had the stomach for the fight,which is very dissapointing.

Out of those, id onlu want Faurlin and Cisse. SWP and Barton are massive negatives and Zamora is invisible most of the time. Look what Fulham did, dumped an ageing overpaid player with an attitude problem and replaced him with someone younger, on half his wages and scores loads more.

Agree. I think it will be crucial that you are able to get rid of those players and not keep them. If you cant ship them out then it wont be good for the club long term. Fernadez isnt like roman or the saudis in terms of his wealth.

we havent had the best of luck but its down to poor perfomances and our lack of goals that has cost us..not just the rub of the green!
Gutted for you chaps you were so good last year, big mistake was changing a winning team, basically told them they were not good enough for the Prem, brining in the likes of Barton has been a nightmare for you. Still time to get out of the mire, best of luck chaps and I hope Frenanadez or whatever his name is does not screw you over if you go down. You were good enough to walk the CCC last year that team would have been good enough to hold its own in the PL
