Fair play. I think we'll both be fine. I don't see us as being in any danger as this year I think 36-38 points will be enough and don't think any team in the league will fail to get less than 10 points in the remaining games. I think you should stay up. The one thing that would worry me is that you are having an unlucky season and its not always the three worst teams that go down, sometimes an unlucky team goes down too. However, I don't expect that to be you lot. I just bloody hope you don't win a cup or, in my book at least, you'll have the bragging rights.

You suggesting Newcastle aren't safe in the league? 33 points with 18 games to play... We may not be mathematically safe, indeed it may be April until we become so but its a one-eyed Newcastle hater who bets money on us going down from this point. Our 'dire run' has lasted all of a week and general recent form over the past 6 home games (5th best in league), 6 away games (8th best in league) and 6 games overall (8th best in the league). I'm gutted to be out of the cups, we will win nothing yet again this year. Would I trade position with you guys? At this stage I would say no, obviously if we lose the next few games and you guys beat Man Utd and then win a few games of course that would change everything. If you win a cup and finish 17th then there can be no doubt this season was a success for you. Would you take winning a cup and getting relegated? I would to be honest, all your fans can give the year of 1973 but how many can name every year you got relegated? Winning things is what fans cling to, even just going to Wembley for a day out is a result.
I think 30-33 will survive, that said we should have gotten ahead v villa so **** knows, its gonna be another corker one way or another
