Why would anyone in their right mind want to invest in Everton? Bar a couple of talents, it has nothing else going for them combined with the fact they have much bigger rivals right on their door step.
True - just find it incredible that people would Be willing to put in that amount of money to create something that actually won't generate that much profit - the sports industry isn't particularly lucrative.
Jimmy, this is absolute nonsense. Just look at Man City who don't even own their stadium and who have just posted a profit. "the sports industry isn't particularly lucrative" - I'll have some of what you're smoking!
The club is priced at circa £150m how is that £100m more than it's worth? Stop chatting absolute bubbles about something you know **** all about. Kenwright is unfortunately ill and is therefore completely open to a sale
The 4th most successful side in English football history, and one of the traditional big clubs in the land. Only an armchair out of town plassie Kopite would come out with a line like that IYKYH
They didn't t buy City to make a fiscal return. They bought City as an advertising hoarding for their oil state, that they're trying to turn into the new Dubai. The column inches and TV exposure they've had for their money is way beyond what they would have spent to achieve the same level of coverage via buying media. People buy football clubs for many different reasons. However, even City now make a profit, due to the heinous TV cash that's slopping about the game. Most PL clubs will also make a return this year, so the premise that they're not profitable is also incorrect in the current climate
The blues you refer to fall into 2 camps, those who simply don't understand business and can't read a set of accounts and those who can but choose to spread baseless rumour and conjecture about supposed misappropriated funds to those in the first group, based solely on their anti board agenda, most of which is residual from the Kirkby debacle. There's nothing awry in the Everton FC accounts.
