I’m not arsed there’s a Scotsman in the setup. Or bothered that your Scottish. Just pointing out the article is weird for making out that striking coaches are something new when they have been around for years.

I love the fact we have an all Yorkshire back three, it's like the Olympics.

Yorkshire got more medals than Sweden, it's history repeating.

    Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire

Glen Hoddle had John Gorman as his assistant.
One of the nicest guys in football I have ever met.

I have a scar on my finger from chopping a swede. I now hate them with a passion.

    Come on England!

Swedes trying to convince themselves England have no respect for them. How very disrespectful of them.

    Small time mentality.

Poor third rate team playing third rate mind games, poorly.

"No, I don't think they do"

Yeah, not like Southgate instantly said after the Colombia game that he and the team will respect Sweden and they've got this far on merit and are not to be trifled with.

    ****s' sake.

In fact, here's an article on the BBC that says just that. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44726669

I think it's going to be a tight game and wouldn't be surprised if it went all the way to pens again . Sweden are no mugs at all , and although if offered a 1/4 final against them at the beginning we would have snapped your hand off, they probably would do the same if offered a 1/4 final against us .

The impression from the Swedish press is that an 'arrogant' England think they're surefire winners. Our press and fanbase is maybe getting giddy with anticipation, but it only really matters what Southgate, the staff and the team think of themselves - and that appears to be measured and realistic.

Sweden's own assumptions are that they are underestimated and thus will win - is that not arrogance in its own way?

It feels like the only people who aren't being wholly arrogant in all this on both sides are Swedish fans and the England team <laugh>

Poor effort on their part, they must try harder.

Having worked for an Anglo-Swedish Company for a lot of years I can confirm they also have more than their fair share of munters. Most even Bob wouldn’t go near.

Larsson is **** & can **** off, no ambition & not up for a fight. The rest are worse than him.

No respect, my arse. Any respect is more than they deserve.

On my walk to work this morning , there were England flags and bunting everywhere . Houses, shops, cars it was great to see . No other sport gets the country feeling like this. Really hope we make the semi finals, I was 7 in Italia 90 and do remember the game but didn't get the significance of it at the time . In Euro 96 it broke my heart , Baddiel and Skinner convinced me we were going to win it and I couldn't comprehend how we didn't . This time I'm ready emotionally , I think .

After 50 years of supporting City and England my expectations of success is naturally lower than a snake's belly.

I have the lowest expectations and so any success is a bonus.

I was ****ing astounded when we won that penalty shootout.

    Never saw that coming.

My old man is getting a little annoyed every time I mention the semi-finals I'm really hyped up, but I think he forgets that I wasn't around for Italia 1990 and was only 1 at Euro 96. For my generation, this is the best we've ever seen the England team, and I think he's struggling to understand I am exactly where he was back in 1990 (we're even the at the same age too, he was 23 then and I am now).

I'd like to think I could deal with us losing in the semi-final or final (should we get there), but I probably won't be able to. I know I'll be crying at the end of all this regardless.

    lol

    Sebastian Larsson
Age: 33 Position: CM Club: AIK
Back in the early 2000s a young Swedish midfielder set the world on fire in Arsenal, with his fashionable haircut and his clinical finishing. This was not him.
Seb has spent his career trying to keep Alex McLeish, Sam Allardyce, David Moyes and Martin O’Neill in the Premiership. Our apologies

See? This is why we love the Swedes!

Either way the result goes, going to be no animosity!

1990 and 96 where gut wrenching coz I'm certain we'd have won the finals.
I 'll be disappointed thus time if we go out but can't see my disappointment being anywhere near those levels.
