Plenty of faith Jay, still lots to play for scoring the goals at last but letting to many in now. We need a few results to go our way.

And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.

Better not to analyze too much, it is enough we can still get enough points to stay up.
For the first time this season, it seems we got that touch of luck when we were down and out.
Perhaps a turning point has happened during the last few games that can just see us scrape by.

Just got back from a breathtaking day out...

I said before the game that anything other than a win is curtains. I am revising that slightly because of the nature of the draw. If we had thrown away a lead and drawn I would say we were down and out. But coming back from 2-0 down then pulling back a goal in a 2 minute spell of stoppage time showed a strength of character I havent seen from our team in a long time.

I will revise my opinion and say that we are not down and out yet - a win next week is an absolute must. Anything other than a win and as far as I am concerned we are out of it. A win and we are back in it. Great performance alround today, would be even better if we started defending aswell as attacking!

The way results are going I think we will need to beat one of Southampton, Newcastle or Chelsea to stay up.

Can't see us taking nine points from Sunderland, Palace and Stoke.

Just watched the game on MotD - still believe you guys will survive, great performance and magnificent character turning round a 2 goal deficit! OGS has got you playing some good stuff - good luck for the run in.

You have got to get wins at Palace and Stoke for starters! As for Southampton, well I think Lallana and Rodriguez are Psychic!!................<laugh>

Phil - Palace and Stoke are both home games for us, we're not "at" them mate - they've got to come to us. <ok>

Two home wins and a mega away performance at Sunderland are our only realistic hope - drop points in any of them and we've had it unless we can turn over Newcastle up there.

The Southampton away trip and last game at home to Chelsea should be too much for us, but if it we're still in it with a shout for that Chelsea game at the CCS, it'll be rocking in there - and you know what? I reckon we could witness the turn up of the century.

    We are down and out.

We are a defensive shambles and our manager doesnt appear to have any idea what line up to put out.

That team selection yesterday really makes me think we may have to change managers in the summer.

If anyone can possibly explain why Taylor and even worse Gunnersson were anywhere near the squad let alone recalled to the line up please let me know.

2 points we couldnt afford to drop and Ole is now starting to worry me.

We are down - Ole has 6 games to at least show he can take us back up.

Have to agree about the inclusion of Taylor and Gunnar. Very strange selections and a major cause of that first 20 minute shambles.

Cost us two points - probably as bad as the two we surrendered to Sunderland through bad substitutions by Kerslake.

Does look like it's writing on the wall time for our stay in the Prem, especially as we now need other teams to fail themselves to have a chance.

OGS's selections are at best questionable & at worst laughable.

The punters/commentators keep saying that Solsjaers' not afraid to make 'bold, early' substitutions....but what they never say is he makes them early because he ballsed up the starting XI.

At least he's not afraid to make changes, both DJ and Malky never did.

Having said that, I agree that his choice of Gunner and Taylor were questionable and our defence on Saturday was abysmal for the first 20 minutes, pity MOTD didn't show more of the game, but they are scoring goals now which they didn't do under Malky.

Cardiff have scored 37 goals this season (29 in the Premier League), 10 of which have been in the last 4 games.

Exile - another 10 in the next four would be helpful - though in scoring those last 10, we let in 12.

Palace and Stoke home, Southampton and Sunderland away - is it possible?

Yes we let in 12, but 6 of those were in one match. The point I was trying to get across is we are now scoring. (Our defence is still c**p!)

I'm worried that with the way we're playing and the way they're playing, Southampton could do the same. <yikes>

City are way overdue a win at Southampton. Have not won away there since 1962 in 14 attempts.

Yet Southampton were similarly bad on the road and this season was their first win at Cardiff since 1965, with City winning the previous 7 on the bounce.

The result of both those away wins was 3-5 so maybe the gods will give City a 0-3 win at St Mary's <whistle>

Sorry Nin, but history is just that - something that happened before this season means bugger all. If we get ANYTHING from Southampton, I'll be convinced we'll stay up. For some reason, they're a team I've watched a lot of this season, and they never fail to impress me.

They've been a class outfit particularly at St. Marys. In the few games they've actually lost there, they've been very unlucky except against Chelsea when they were having a bad run, and they got thumped that day - but we're no Chelsea.

Lambert, Rodriguez and Lallana will take some hard work to contain. They have excellent midfield organisation behind them that will need disrupting, or we'll have to go over the top and apply the route one principle again.

Anyway, bollucks to them - let's beat Palace first otherwise we might as well put out the development squad to get some experience for next year in the Champ....<laugh>
