The Midland Massive are hitting the Hawthornes tomorrow with due anxiety and nervousness but will be signing our heads off.

Hopefully the Argentinian Branfoot plays Boufal from the start for me. And maybe Jack up front.....<laugh>

I'm not sure that will help. Singing might be more encouraging as they will be able to hear you. :emoticon-0100-smile

    My team would be

    Alex
    Cedric, Jack, Wesly, Ryan
    Pierre.
    James, Mario
    Sofiane
    Manolo, Guido

I really miss the diamond, and if we are going to go down lets go down while entertaining the masses, I think this line up would finish in a 7-5 away win.:1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

You think we’re all jumping the gun by thinking he’s not good enough now? Really?

    I don't remember the diamond ever producing goals galore. If we're after a formation change I would go with 442 old fashion styleee;
    Mccarthy
    Cedric Stephens Hoedt Bertrand
    JWP Lemina Hojbjerg Tadic
    Carilla Gabbiadini

Boom job done final score 85-23

    • I think the club have decided to back him - and then let him down in the transfer window., but that's hardly his fault.
    • I think he's been dealt a pretty poor hand from the start.
    • I think the players are still playing for him
    • I think he has shown character and resiliance - far more than our fanbase have anyway
    • I think everything he does will bd wrong in the eyes of our supporters, until and unless results improve
    • I think you can't keep selling your best players every season and expect to get away with it. This is hardly the manager's fault.
    • I think the squad is mediocre at best
    • I think I'll stay off this forum for a while because when I see even level headed posters wielding pitchforks and torches, I know I'm in the wrong place

Harsh. I love the Hawthorns. Albion are among my favourite other fans; there are several mixed pubs where the craic is brilliant and I have some great memories of games there. Favourite was playing there twice in the 75/76 season when we beat them 3-0 in the league and Bobby(The Rat) Stokes scored late in a 1-1 draw in the Cup ... and the rest was history. Least favourite a 0-0 draw in 2005 as we were going down, and Prutton missed a sitter a few minutes from the end. The bloke behind me told Prutton that he hadn't travelled all the way from the South Coast to see that, and in future he jolly well better pull his socks up. Well that was the gist.

Must look out for the Midland Massive. Northernsaints will almost certainly be there so singing and/or signing will be in evidence.

Oh yeah the diamond never worked but it would give us something else to moan about because i feel this season has been to smooth with not enough negatives to wind us up.

I definitely think we are underperforming as a team....no position has what you would call a bad player....but we lack the stars we have had in the past. And winning breeds confidence....there is now a belief in the fans and the team that we are going to drop points. We dominate games without getting what we deserve. A couple of wins at the beginning of the season and we wouldn't be here now...not just because of the points, but because the team would have more confidence to take the odd risk. Ignoring Mauricio's qualities (because honestly I haven't seen enough to really be able to judge), we could do with a lucky manager...because he has had none at all.

Fortune favours the brave, if he hadn't have been quite as timid as he has been, he might've had a bit more "luck".

All of that is absolutely true, but that doesn’t make him good, capable, or the right man for this job.
