Is it me or is the club possibly starting a bit of charm offensive towards the fans?

Players giving away shirts to supporters and it feels as though there are more references to the fans on the payers' social media (and we all know a lot of that is orchestrated by the club).

    MATCH DAY

Come on saints, you can do the double over West Brom. No wonder goal needed, a simple tap in winner will do.

Edit. Saturday has been so good, I'm re living it again today

Groundhog day was the 2nd Feb, but I get what you're saying. Actually it was 25 years ago last Friday that the film Groundhog Day was released

Now that is a not so interesting fact [emoji4]

Long and Hoedt gave their shirts to a couple of youngsters at Fulham - pretty sure it was spontaneous.

No way! Nobody else has mentioned that. Two goals from outside the box affected your head mate. #dream

No audio on this (so don't worry about thinking if your device is knackered!) - but this is a really nice little clip.

For the first West Brom goal the ref is standing directly in line to see the shirt pull on Stephens and either didn't spot it or think it warranted a foul. Appalling refereeing either way.
Apart from that Guido looked obviously not match fit and had some rusty touches so hope that improves.
Lemina makes a huge difference to the team and so so much better than ginger. Everything is going forward with him and some lovely footwork.
Long is unique in the fact he is the only defensive striker in the league,. Yes he does a lot of work, breaks up play, chases lost causes but he really should be putting chances away. The header he missed was a golden chance, Gabbi must be wondering what he has done wrong?
MP2 plays his strongest 11 with both Soppy and Tadic on the pitch and we look a threat, why didn't he do this versus Brighton? I sincerely hope he learns from these mistakes but he's such a slow leaner. Guess he is here until the end of the season but come summer I think we need to be looking to replace him.
JWP is growing as a player and is now on the periphery of the England squad. Kudos to you James!
Alfa Romeo is beginning to look slower and slower? What's happened to that guy?
Overall a good performance and I was sick down my shirt with nerves watching it in the last 10 minutes! lol

One week good one week bad so I predict we are going to be ****e versus the scousers!

    Agree with this

A lot of our fans kept saying we can’t play Tadic and Boufal together. We can and we should. With these two and Lemina we have some flair and creativity on the pitch.

Turned on MotD saw Murphy's ugly mug knew he would be looking to highlight one of our players for Liverpool's benefit so turned the TV off and went to bed.

Someone recently mentioned that Lemina could play as the attacking midfielder.
I think that person was right.
The way he moves the ball from foot to foot and goes by players is exactly what we need from our attacking midfielder.

Without doubt this was a fantastic result and a terrific performance. Had we won against Brighton in the week, I think we might have been in a position whereby we would have been looking upwards at the table as opposed to looking at the relegation positions. That said, I would suggest that beating Liverpool would be far more preferable than turning the Seagulls over.

Lucky that we aren't the kind of fans to get our head turned by one result. :bandit:

    Europe, here we come. <diva>

Joking aside....we always knew we were better than the results. Decent to good players all over the pitch, but we don't score enough....despite the chances created. Won't judge by the Liverpool game (though a win is always acceptable), but there are a couple of winnable games coming up. And by winnable I mean must wins. Get those and the whole world is rosier.

Just twigged that Palace have to play Newcastle...hoping for a draw, but we drop a place whatever the result (bastards!).

Nil-Nil and, after a massive brawl in the area, half a dozen sendings-off. And the sun is shining. That would make a pretty perfect weekend.:)
