Absolute minimum for me

 

It’s quite likely he had a bit of a nagging injury, and rushing him back too soon could exacerbate it. Could have affected his play when he was on the pitch as well.

He has a tendency to force it at times and make foolish decisions with his passing. He will have to work on that. But the skills and talent are clearly top notch. He could be better than any of the DM types we have had, and we’ve had some good ones.

Which is why I was flabbergasted a few games back when everyone was complaining that MP subbed him into a match.

 

Another thing I'd almost forgotton about winning. You can sit with a silly smirk on your face, with a nice glass of wine, and relax while Everton go 4-0 down at HT,

May I suggest listening to it rather than looking at it. I’ve heard it helps

At the risk of getting well ahead of myself, our team for next season is starting to come into view, as well. Long, Redmond and Davis are drifting to the periphery (sadly, so is Gabbiadini). McCarthy seems to be entrenched as keeper, Romeu/Lemina/Hojbjerg have nailed down the minutes at CM, and you'd have to think that Maya's time with Saints is coming to a close, given that he seems to have lost his spot, and we must be in for a CB next season given our frailties.

 

Last week we were definitely getting relegated, this week we could finish 7th. If we survive the season will MP2 lead us next season?

 

JWP must be forcing his way into Southgate's plans for Russia on current form.

Absolutely. Just seems that, whether Pellegrino actually plays them or not, we're starting to get a much better sense of what comprises our best team for the remainder of this year...and hopefully next.

 

His steady progress has been one of the few bright spots of this season up til now - great to see him crown an assured performance today with that brilliant free kick.
