WBA are holding a celebration of Cyrille Regis's life from 2pm and have invited Saints fans to join in so get there early to support them. The game is a sell out so will be busy getting to the ground.
    See you there guys

I saw the Foo Fighters at Glastonbury last year. One of the best performances I've ever been part of. So much fun. Enjoy!

Fancy sanding my work tops down RJ?

Are you doing it by hand (no machine) and will you oil them after?

I've got a couple of cheap electric sanders so a little less hard work than by hand. I'm going to coat the worktops with a clear plastic resin that is heat and UV resistant which will completely seal the wood. The resin coat can be finished either matt, satin or high gloss depending on what you do. I think I'll go high gloss and use some burnishing paste to polish it.
You can do your own thanks FLT, its a horrible dusty job :emoticon-0100-smile.
The worktops were oiled but I never really liked the fact that you have to maintain the finish and re-oil periodically.
Saints to score early, and draw 1 - 1, just to stay a little bit on topic

talkSport Breakfast have WBA 2-0 Saints as we won't be able to handle JRod and Sturridge up front

    Just don't feed it<yikes>

Matchday. I expect nothing....not quite true I expect defeat and am cool about it.
See....my protective shell is coming along nicely (like Rorschach's worktops).

Of course if Saints win to prolong my agony....that is ok as well.

It's a strange day for WBA. Four points picked up in January at home to Brighton and away to Everton - plus knocking Liverpool out of the cup away, and signing Sturridge. They must be in quite a buoyant mood, and really fancying themselves for the win today. And if they do that, they attach themselves onto those directly ahead of them (at the moment, they're just that one game further back than the rest of us), and surely have the belief that they can stay up.

But lose today, and they're six points behind us. As well as losing ground on a minimum of three other teams (given that there is Bmouth v Stoke, Brighton v West Ham, and Palace v Newcastle). With an away game to Chelsea to come next weekend (after everyone else has already played), things would really look quite sticky for them again. 20 points from 27 games would be shocking, regardless of the fact that 38 or 40 points probably won't be the survival line this season.

Yep, seen them a few times at festivals & concerts. DG is one of the few front liners who really engages with the crowd - nearly too much. Can’t believe I’ve just written that but I remember at MKeynes couple years ago thinking, ffs Grohl, play ****ing music & someone else said same.

    Btw, COYS, fuC.king win!

Don't you just love being a Saint. Catch up with FLT's movements - though presumably the authorities have him tagged - and get DIY advice while getting a prediction.

There's part of me hopes that Albion score two quick goals and put me out of my misery. Obviously if we score twice in the first few minutes the tension won't be lifted, unless the ref sends four of their players off for contesting a decision. No, hang on, this is Saints. Unless we're 4-0 up going into second half injury time I'll still be expecting an Albion revival.

All in all, FLT and RJ, Belper in the cold and worktops sound a reasonable option!

Oh and btw, I'm now in the warmth of my mate's house and we are about to head off to the pub/Cyrille Regis event. I will be buzzing by kick off. Saints often bugger up a perfectly OK day, but hope for better today.

    Matchday.

I have passed through every emotion from terror, to bleak depression, via outright indifference, through cautious optimism, to unconditional love for a football club and it's doomed, deluded supporters.

I am currently experience a surge of defiance and belief - **** knows how long that will last. But while it does COME ON SAINTS, YOU CAN BEAT THIS LOT!!!

WBA are in the mire like us, but sadly I'd rather be them today. I cannot see where a league win is going to come from....we dominated Brighton at home but were unable to finish it. They have a striker on form (Jay) and a new one more experienced than ours, whereas our striker on form is a CB.

Can't be all doom and gloom: Positives for Saints: Hard to beat, can score now (though no where near enough), JWP is doing better (MOTM last game), still in FA Cup. That's it....unless anyone got something else.
