8pm kick off tomorrow if you’re interested….

City at their most surprising and win one no one thought possible? Not even I can predict that one.
Feeling of dread about another 8-0? Me too.
Pick your line up.

Two up top just like it was on Saturday :smiley-finger007:

i would normally say i dont think WBA are anything to be scared of, nobody is unbeatable in this league.
except for us though, we just need that kick up the arse and the new regime /management to fire things up.
until then same old predictable, 2-0 defeat , WBA just going through the motions in 3rd gear.
scene of 2 of my favourite away games in the past though.

July 14 was officially registered as national Black Country Day because it is the anniversary of the invention of the world's first steam engine. The Newcomen Engine was created in the Black Country in 1712.

Lawrence and Cassandra Southwick, from Kingswinford in the Black Country, were among the founding fathers of America. The couple were early immigrants to the American colonies, going there in 1627 (or according to other accounts in 1637-39) possibly on a second crossing of the Mayflower, with four of their six children. They at first settled in Salem but moved to New York after being persecuted for being Quakers.

Their descendants were said to include Winston Churchill and US president Richard Nixon. In addition, it's been said that other descendants include Solomon Southwick, who printed some of the first copies of the Declaration of Independence after it was adopted in 1776, and Alfred Southwick, who invented the electric chair as an alternative to hanging.

The team were formed as the West Bromwich Strollers in 1879 by workers from the George Salters works, as they had to walk a few miles up the road to Wednesbury to buy their first football. . They became West Bromwich Albion after one year, in 1880.

They're known as the throstles (a thrush) or baggies, but nobody really knows why.

Bromwich means broom village, and there is no north east or south Bromwich, but the town is split into two constituencies, West Bromwich East and West Bromwich West.

West Brom's ground, the Hawthorns, is the highest ground in England.

I was hoping McCann would have been sacked before this match. Then I would have been optimistic of a point or 3. As the hapless ****wit is still here it will be a WBA win.

He’ll play 4-3-3, as he does every game. Whoever is the ‘chosen’ lone striker they will be more isolated than Tom Hanks in Cast Away.

3-0

agree, it will be the same players in the same formation running around a lot but achieving very little. No dominance in midfield, poor service to the forward(s) & then failing to bury the occassional chance. At the other end poor defending from set pieces & WBA strikers left in acres of space to finish. Same old mistakes that a decent coach should have identified & rectified by now.

After their capitulation at Fulham, I'm fearing the backlash.

5-0 with Townsend weighing in with one. As if to say heres what you could have won.

Townsend playing some really good football. Will be attacking down the Left Side our weak point in the last few games. Coyle/Emmanuel need to be at their best! He is an excellent crosser of the ball. Not looking forward to this at all.
Can’t see anything but a 3/4 goal loss. City let Townsend go to Scunthorpe, another faux pas!
Livermore should dominate the midfield. Snodgrass dangerous from free kicks.
