Not scored in 5 of our last 7 now....not panic time yet but if hernandez and jelavic are out for a while our utter lack of a third reasonable option up top will really knack us, we are a very easy team to play against when we have no strikers!
That's fine, as long as you're happy. I'm only speaking from the experience of Bruce blaming referees, linesmen, owners, the media, injuries, suspensions, international commitments, transfer windows, supporters etc for his failures ....... I've never seen him say, 'I completely fkd up and I hold my hands up'.
I understand the subs, when the injuries happened in the first half. But with 10 minutes to go whats the point putting on Huddlestone who is rank out of form. Mix it up, if we are going to lump it which what happens in the last 10 when losing, try something different. Maybe splitting hairs, but all Huddlestone will do is retain the ball.
Very rarely does any manager say that. Bruce is usually quite honest, he does admit when the team aren't good enough or if we deserved nothing from the game. If you don't like him then fair enough, but I don't get what your trying to gain by posting rubbish on here.
Every manager blames someone, it isnt a Bruce problem. Its a fairly normal human trait to try to deflect blame from one's self. Mourinho blames everyone and their mother for Chelsea not winning by 10 goals a game. Not every Sunderland fan but certainly most of the ones that feel it necessary to come on our board and tell us what you think of him seem to forget that Bruce is not doing anything that every other manager does as well (except NP who seems to just stare blankly at reporters).
Is it rubbish? I agree that he'll often say 'I' when Hull win but it's always 'we' when they lose. His endless excuses became the reason that many people, including myself, begun to turn against him. Not playing any strikers & playing people out of position became intolerable. Until then he had my total backing as a fellow Northumbrian.
To be honest, last 10 minutes we might as well have bunged MaGuire up front and hoisted in long balls. Nowt else was working.
Glad Tom Hudd got a run out after his commanding display v Arsenal - otherwise SB would probably have got an earful from his Big Player. Good to know the Manager can rest easy tonight.
This is looking like a really expensive season cos' we need to get two players up front to stay in this league. But one could come on loan I suppose.
