Nah if you watch barca they had 2 big dominating cbs and busquets to dominate. As for defending set pieces in europe and spanish leagues they love to give any little touch to the defenders as a foul especially to the likes of real and barca whereas the defenders get away with murder going through players and tugging at their shirts

Just watched this game on Sky, I have never seen a team with so little camaraderie in my life. Yes they pass to each other very professionally but beyond that there is no team spirit at all, it is like watching 11 strangers play the game. Not very much by way of congratulations when Sanchez scored a goal, no pats on the shoulder or words of encouragement when Cech made 2 good saves, all players just looking around when the 3rd goal went in (no bollockings or recriminations) just nothing.
That dressing room must be like the waiting room at a hospital intensive care unit.
How can so many people that spend so much of their day together be so much like strangers and have no emotion to share.

This is the side I would be picking at the moment. (injuries permitting)

Holding looks like a proper defender. Good in the air, he's decent size and needs games to fulfil his potential.

Coquelin ha'snt had the best Season but to me it looks like he has been instructed to get forward more(!?). He should be just sitting in front of the back four in the Makele role. I think we would get alot more out of Xhaka next to a holding player.

Perez is a fighter. Works hard, is a decent finisher. There is no question he should be starting for us.

Chamberlain shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11.

    --------------------Cech---------------------
    Bellerin--Holding--Koscielny--Monreal
    --------------Xhaka---Coquelin-------------
    -----------------Ozil/Ramsey-----------------
    --Perez---------Sanchez-----------Iwobi---

Carzorla. The little Spaniard is sorely missed, would walk straight into the side when fit. Arguably our most important player.

Almost exactly spot on apart from including the consistently mediocre Iwobi.

I like him though. Better footballer than Walcott and already has more of an end product than Chamberlain.

Still - we could do with another versatile forward like a Reus in the side.

I can probably think of a few, but I doubt they'd go down very well, to be honest. <laugh>

Am i so wrong as a die hard supporter to actually hope from this point in the season I truly hope we end up in 8th position?

Yes you are totally wrong. It's not going to help our Club to finish outside the Champions League places.
    1. Its going to make it harder to keep our best players
    2. It'll be harder to sign top players
    3. The Club will receive less revenue and thus have less spending power.
    4. The deal for Wenger's new contract is already on the table. At this point it's just down to him.

I expected this kind of reply and yes I understand every point you make. But the frustrations that most of us now all show suggest to me this is what it's going to take to get the board to make some well overdue radical changes to this proud club of ours!

The management couldn't care less what the fans think unless it conflicts with their aims. They still have a great deal of control over the club and the fans have yet to significantly show their dissatisfaction before they take notice.

WIthout the fans, there wouldn't be Arsenal. The club will inevitably move on after the management has long gone, but it's the fans that will stay on.

I wouldn't say that the fans have actually been fairly vocal and the media is never shy to berate Arsene.
The manager and the board are well awaire of the fans feelings, it would be impossible not to be.

I ws at the Bayern game at the Emirates and by the time we were 3-1 down the stadium was 80% empty.

I think its just gonna take time for the board to listen. Arsene though - who knows? he may have already decided to leave.
